Mark Davis from DFW local radio interviewed the guy running the platform at the convention. He explained they have delegates from all the states to make the platform. Said they were shocked when McCain did not veto conservative things they wanted, in fact, they were for it and wanted conservative values in it. He was very pleased.

There is something VERY important to keep in mind, folks.

The Obama “movement” is built on a CULT OF CELEBRITY. And he is an empty suit.
Dems and thier MSM allies KNOW this, and MUST destroy Sarah Palin, RIGHT NOW, before her celebrity increases.

While the Obama/Black man ttory is good, the “AMERICAN EVERYWOMAN” story of Sarah Palin will sell FAR MORE PAPERS, especially since the Obama thing is mostly played out, now.

“But one small good thing out of all the bad is that McCain might FINALLY realize the MSM are NOT his friend. And if he truly becomes pissed off at the liberals, he might govern (if he wins) more as a conservative.”

I certainly hope that's the case... It's not like the MSM is leaving much to the imagination anymore when it comes to their bias - they aren't even TRYING to hide it anymore!

I personally think that George Bush would enjoy a higher approval rating today if he had used his bully pulpit a bit more often to chastise the media when they've gone overboard...

AND, I would suggest to McCain that one of his first things to do when he gets to the Oval Office — find the dang leak in the Pentagon that keeps feeding crap to the NY Times.

This is lawyer talk. It means you need to start mitigating damages before a suit for libel and slander. While Sarah Palin is arguably a public figure, and therefore the sleeze bar is lowered, Bristol is not, and the filth that has been circulated in the MSM is a financial jackpot for some lawyers. It could be filed in virtually an conservative Federal District in the country, and discovery starts immediately.

This is the mother lode of all defamation suits.

The attacks against Gov. Palin are the lefties attempts to swift-boat her.

This is in no way a "Swift-boat". The Swift Boaters were concerned with the truth getting out about John Kerry. These slime-mongers admit they are not working with truth, but are willing to destroy a family with lies and dirty tricks in the name of promoting their idea of the "greater good"

I'm not sure that this will be enough to counter Fox News being in the tank for Obama. A message is only as effective as its ability to be heard, and the McCain/Palin campaign is going to run into a lot of trouble finding MSM outlets to advance the message without spin. About all they have left is talk radio, and that's basicly preaching to the choir.

Rupert Murdoch and Roger Ailes have already met with the Obamessiah, promising him fair coverage and listening to his grievances about perceived attacks on his wife and Jeremiah Wright. Murdoch is the one who actually sought the meeting because he is, to quote, "fascinated by Obama". The result of this meeting was to give Obama an unprecedented platform on the O'Reilly show on the very night of McCain's acceptance speech. Obama has received Aile's personal assurance that "there will be no embarrassing stuff" in the interview. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/story/2008/09/02/ST2008090203320.html

In contrast to the O'Reilly soft ball interview with the Obamessiah, Fox is turning Palin over to Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday. Wallace, of course, is a registered Democrat and has been parotting all the DNC talking points and smears against Palin at every opportunity throughout the RNC coverage. I'll guarantee you that the McCain campaign has received NO assurances that Wallace will refrain from "embarrassing stuff"! In fact, I'm certain the interview will consist almost entirely of "embarrassing stuff".

At this point, sign me...Beyond Disgusted

“But if he really kicks the media in the balls on this one (and I mean going after the MSM, not just the Obama campaign and the moonbat websites) I will put a McCain sign on my lawn and volunteer for his campaign.”

“AMEN! to that.”

I also was extremely anti-McCain. Planned to vote for Chuck Baldwin until the VP nomination was announced. He was told he needed to appeal to the conservative base, and he listened. I hope he’s listening now... that he need to go on the offensive, no holds barred.

(And weren’t they supposed to come out with something before noon EST? Waiting...)

I saw this graphic on a couple of threads this morning. Really very well done - did you do this one yourself? If so, you should be proud. Its a very nice summary of her strengths.

Thank you very much! I appreciate that. Just something I was thinking about this morning. She’s a great candidate, no matter what the MSM says.

Obama spoke in code and the MSM understood what he was telling them to do.

Kinda like the Godfather.
