McCain Campaign: News Media Demanding DNA Testing of Palin Family

McCain presidential campaign strategist Steve Schmidt went on the record with the Washington Post's Howard Kurtz today, revealing the depths to which the mainstream media has sunk in their efforts to destroy the family of Republican vice presidential pick Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.
Schmidt said that the campaign has been deluged with demands from reporters that the Palin family submit to DNA testing to assuage baseless rumors promulgated by the Democratic party's favorite website, the Daily Kos.
Schmidt accused the media of being "on a mission to destroy" Sarah Palin.
Kurtz writes that Markos Moulitsas, the founder of the Daily Kos, believes the made up allegations against Palin and her daughter are legitimate. Kurtz fails to note that Moulitsas writes for the Post's sister publication, Newsweek.
Schmidt also said reporters are demanding to see the birth certificate for Palin's newborn.
The news media is treading on dangerous ground with their despicable behavior regarding the Palin family. They are arousing an anger in Americans all across the country who see themselves in the Palin family and are beyond outrage over how they have been trashed.

Oh Pleeeeeez. Watch the convention tonight? Listen to Thompson’s and Lieberman’s speeches?
Or maybe you’re ready for a b. hussein obama presidency. In which case, kiss America goodbye, without a second chance in ‘12. If you don’t think it’s that serious, you’re unfortunately not informed. I, unfortunately, am.

Print and publish ALL the NAMES of the lowlifes. Publicize them, so they can be shunned and ostracized.
This comment brought a pleasant image of them in stocks. (as in Williamsburg-not Wall Street.

This is what happens when Godless people are in charge...there’s no conscience...there’s no guilt..there’s ONLY POWER. Money and power is the end...the means will always justify it.

So are they saying that the teenager had the baby in April, and now she’s pregnant again? What the hell?

Now that you mention it, yes.

I have posted and argued here AGAINST voting for John McCain. I have said that unless Kentucky was close, I was sitting this election out.
Because McCain chose Sarah Palin, I decided he would probably get my vote. I still don't agree with McCain on every issue, but choosing Palin showed me that he, at least, acknowledges conservatism and is willing to give us the opportunity to choose a conservative for the future.
The media attacks have forced me further. Tomorrow I'll be at my local campaign office, signing up to volunteer.

Schmidt also said reporters are demanding to see the birth certificate for Palin's newborn.
The McCain campaign should release the names and organizational affiliations of ALL reporters that are asking for this, DNA comparisons, etc.

I haven't read all the posts and don't know if someone else has said this, but Sarah Palin has a record of fighting for the people, and we need to fight for her and her family. Now! Where do we start, 'cause I'm ready...
If the Obama lovers can't lay off a 17 year girl, they're looking for retaliation big time.

Thanks. I look at it as serving your country. Make no mistake about it. We are in a literal fight for the future of our country and I really believe we are in serious danger from Obama and his minions. We see how viciously the left has went after Sarah Palin using gestapo tactics. What makes us think they wouldn’t come after us the same way. We are all soldiers fighting for our future and our mission is to work for the McCain/Palin camp and vote. Even if we can’t do anything but vote that will help. Also if we could all register just one new voter and ask them to register just one we could make a difference.

I hope to see the Democrat party and the Drive By Media just die any ugly death after this election. The depths the scum in their party (the Drive Bys acting as their surrogates) can not be just written off as “politics as usual.” We Conservatives, win or lose, in November must stop this nonsense, once and for all. We need to start calling out members of the Drive By Media when our side is on one of their shows. How about putting them on the spot be revealing their voter registration party affiliation which is public record? What about their contributions to the DNC or candidates or their spouse's making those contributions on behalf of them? What about many in the Drive By Media that are former Rat activists or have spouses that are Rat operatives?
I am so sick and tired of our side having disclose their affiliations and be identified as a “GOP or Conservative Operative.” We need to go on fricken offense and stay on offense, win or lose.

Where did his huge gain come from? Does this seem odd to anyone else?
Possibly an outlier. The convention situation this year is pretty weird. Conventions are back-to-back, split by a long holiday weekend AND a hurricane. The GOP ceded the first night, and I noticed that the Obama Campaign took advantage of it by getting folks onto the various shows. The polls probably won't settle down until after the GOP Convention wraps ... and even then there will certainly be (as there always are) methodology and accuracy issues.

What is an outlier? I’m sorry to be asking such a dumb question but something really feels wrong about these numbers.

I think they may be trying to make it look like the choice of Sarah Palin made McCains poll numbers go down so as to pressure the voters to pressure McCain to drop her.

So are they saying that the teenager had the baby in April, and now shes pregnant again? What the hell? You have to be patient with Markos. He doesn't know anything about female anatomy or physiology.
