McCain presidential campaign strategist Steve Schmidt went on the record with the Washington Post's Howard Kurtz today, revealing the depths to which the mainstream media has sunk in their efforts to destroy the family of Republican vice presidential pick Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.
Schmidt said that the campaign has been deluged with demands from reporters that the Palin family submit to DNA testing to assuage baseless rumors promulgated by the Democratic party's favorite website, the Daily Kos.
Schmidt accused the media of being "on a mission to destroy" Sarah Palin.
Kurtz writes that Markos Moulitsas, the founder of the Daily Kos, believes the made up allegations against Palin and her daughter are legitimate. Kurtz fails to note that Moulitsas writes for the Post's sister publication, Newsweek.
Schmidt also said reporters are demanding to see the birth certificate for Palin's newborn.
The news media is treading on dangerous ground with their despicable behavior regarding the Palin family. They are arousing an anger in Americans all across the country who see themselves in the Palin family and are beyond outrage over how they have been trashed.

You can report it yourself. Start your own blog. There are a lot of places that let you do it for free.
As for what you can find, first, you need to start a list of reporters to look at. Basically all the ones that are calling for hatchett jobs on Palin. ANd then start looking for your information from free sites, pay sites, other news sources reporting on each other, etc. Google and others. Tap your perosnal resources or friends’ resources.
I plan on working some upcoming phone banks for McCain/Palin and possibly doing some door to door. We’ll also get a sign for the yard and bumper sticker for car. We have to fight them all the way to election day. Of course, the most important thing to do is vote. The Republicans need to make sure that elderly, disabled, etc. who want to vote Republican either recieve an absentee ballot or have transportation to the polls. You know the Obamabots will be bussing their people to the polls like crazy.
My sister thinks Hillary is behind the smear campaign. There’s nobody more terrified of Gov. Palin than Hillary is. McCain-Palin for 8 years. Then Palin-?? for 8 years. WHEN IS IT GONNA BE HILLARY’S TURN?

These 'reporters' have a zeal to see the birth certificate of the Vice President candidate's baby - but they have no interest in seeing the birth certificate of the Democrat Presidential candidate? ...
So how exactly do they reconcile that in their universe? In one case, the birth certificate of a baby -- that changes nothing no matter what they find -- in the other case, the birth certificate of a candidate who is actually running for the highest office in the land....

OK fine, we'll trade a DNA sample for a certified copy, direct from the Office of Health Status Monitoring, a unit of the Hawaii Department of Health, of the original, complete Birth Certificate of one Barak Hussien Obama.

I said above to another poster that there’s probably a chance they wouldn’t believe the results anyway. They’d claim they paid the testing center off, the right is covering it up, etc.
