Some of them are attacking John McCain for "lying" to them. Some of them can't get their dates straight. Some of them have infinite political wisdom and see this as a true disaster. Fortunately you are right, their numbers are small and dwindling.
Ah, but my FReeper FRiend, that's the response that the libs and corrupt 'pubs want. It means that if they can concoct some type of "investigation" or "controversy" - even where there is none - and get it into the news, they can thwart the good and honest people who would stop them.
All it takes is a compliant mainstream media to cook up a controversy. It isn't a scandal if a 17 year old girl acts like a human, but ultimately in the end moral, 17 year old girl. To allow that to stop a good person like Palin from reaching elected office would be a tragedy.

i don’t see the majority of people on this thread accepting premarital sex as fine and dandy, what i see is acceptance of a fact of life; it goes on. accepting reality doesn’t require one to embrace it as the way things should be. i wasn’t a hooch when i was young, and my 14 and 20 year old daughters are virgins. they have been taught that premarital sex is wrong and that abortion is murder. my kids are human and can easily make a mistake, i would never stake my life on this not happening to them, because ANYTHING can happen to ANYONE, no matter how they are raised. i know evangelical preachers who were married because of a shotgun at age 16. everyone is fallen.

Right. That’s the root question: is governor Palin a good woman or a wicked woman? Based on what I’ve learned, the answer is clear.

There’s a country song about this. “I’m so much cooler on the Internet” or something like that. Reading many threads I notice that there are people who read nothing but the Bible all day long, have never had sex outside of marriage, keep fit and trim all day long (on any thread related to weight), have never sinned in their lives. At least according to the posts I read when it comes to big discussions like this.
