Taking a look at the stories in the Old Media will show that the Media is turning attack dog ASAP on McCain's choice for vice president, Sarah Palin. Notice the main meme is her supposed "inexperience." Funny how Palin was the VP pick for about 15 seconds before the Old Media went after her "inexperience" while they have yet to hit Barry Obama on HIS inexperience at all and he's been running for president since 2004. We should also note that Palin didn't get the honeymoon that Biden got when his announcement was made. But, the worst is yet to come and the Daily Kos is doing its level best to mine the lowest of lows. In a Kos diary today, it is being alleged that Sarah Palin "faked" the pregnancy of her last child, a baby born with Down's Syndrome. The claim is that it was her teenaged daughter's child, not hers. And, true to form, the Kossacks took that absurd calumny and hate even further in the comments.

note: As of September 1,2008 motherhood will no longer be viewed like apple pie. <<
But apple pie is POISON! All full of those icky transfats, and sugar, and stuff. God help you if you'd like a little ice cream on top.
I am not knowledgeable on any implications of risk during pregnancy. Only posed a possibility. What I do know, is when one gets mono, it has the tendency to show symptoms of other illnesses, even mimics some and can be misdiagnosed as my son's was at first. Mono is not necessarily the same for all who get it. One thing they do need is LOTS of rest and sleep. As to pregnancy with mono, I would think it would be an added hindrance, and strain on the mother at the very least.
And yes I believe a poster, earlier in the thread had showed the link where the child had mono.
just use a left bracket slash p right bracket to form a new paragraph “<” “/p” “>”
They’re just putting this out to draw attention away from Joe Biden’s ‘love child’. That’s the one John Edwards is pretending is his. John’s taking one for the team.
The more I think about it, the happier I am with McCain’s pick (and I was pretty happy in the first place). I’ve been looking at posts at DU, Kos and the DNC blog. These people are scared and it is expressed in a level of anger and slander that is shocking even for DUmmies, KOmmies and DuNCes.
ya know, right after I posted that I had a homer simpson DOH moment because it never occurred to me to do that until AFTER I posted..LOL..
I am preying the the left scum get such a licking this year that it will be decades before they can advance their previsions on the national stage again.
oops! previsions = perversions. dyslexia strikes again.
She should settle this right now by taking that sweet little baby in arms and putting him discreetly to the breast on camera (under a nursing blouse, guys!! calm down).
Are the claims of the fake baby being made by anonymous posters or by bloggers using their real names?
Sorry - I don’t know this entire story - did the daughter with mono have to leave home because her mom was pregnant?
That sounds a little weird to me. What if the child were much younger, like 10? Who would send a 10-year-old away from home just because he had an illness like mono? It seems cruel. Since this “banning” of the teenage daughter from school and home for 6 months makes no sense, maybe that is where this rumor got started.
The first thing that came to my mind when I learned about her infant son's condition was sympathy. But then I found out that she has four other children, all of whom seem to be healthy. "What was she thinking?" I asked myself, but then the question morphed into "WHY?"
Surely she must have been warned of the risks (for women only 4 years older than herself, the risk is staggering 1 in 10 pregnancies!). I could understand her desire to have children this late if she had none, but with four other children this just seems a little selfish, especially knowing the risk.
I will not delve into the family values of Palin's, but I will seriously question her impulsiveness (bordering on irresponsible) in decision-making when I consider who will get my vote.
Between McCain's hot temper, and her impulsiveness, I really wonder if there is no other (better) talent in the Republican Party? This is all we have to offer?
I also wonder what McCain was thinking when he chose her. Does he really think her gender by itself will do the magic of attracting Hillary's supporters?
She is a Gun Lobby member, eats moose burgers, hunts, fishes and is pro-life, and wants creationism taught in schools. How is she going to attract largely rabbidly feminist, secular, pro-abortionist, liberal NRA-hating Hillary supporters?
She comes in already on top of controversies (real or made up) which will only get thicker and uglier, motivated by anything from envy to revenge, because the media thrive on scandals.
It's only a matter of time before her competency is tested in public debates and news conferences.
If something happens to McCain, do I want someone like her, impulsive and egotistic, as Kolo observes correctly, making top-level decisions? I have yet to be convinced.
I believe that citizenship is a right ot be a qualified voter. I believe all voters should take voting-qualification tests and be issued a license to vote, the way all drivers require a license because our vote determines which way the country will drive.
The test would establish a minimum of literacy (!) and understanding (comprehension) of the issues involved both domestically and globally. How can someone who can't find a place on the map, let alone spell its name, know what is "right" if not by guessing? Is this what our elections are? Blind guesses? Or beauty pageants? Is this what democracy is all about? Blind guesses?
Above all, such tests should disqualify anyone who thinks that race or gender or being a POW or religious affiliation alone or in combination is a qualification to be president.
All life is precious to God? Read the Old Testament.
The other thing is that the so called opinionated KOS experts on pregnacy do not have much experience in the matter of pregnancy either, if they do its accidental, deniable, and abortable.
They assume that the Palins' mind set is the same.
If Palins daughter had been pregnant , the baby would have been publicly carried to term, whether daughter got married or not, and brought right into the Palin family.
Why are you bashing this wonderful woman? Think about it.
The Republican Party is no less Pro-abortionist then the Democrats (where the majority of the Catholics are). This is something newly created. The Evangelical make up only a portion of the Republican Party, and last time I checked McCain is no Evangelical (except when he needs to be).
He voted for stem-cell research, and in an interview in February of this years, he states his usual mumbo-jumbo rhetoric, correcting himself as he goes along:
How can you support a woman and the rights of the unborn? And what does that mean "support the rights?" Some people support aboriton in cases of rape and incest. Others are against any abortion.
Let's not forget that a large segment of the Republican Party is pro-choice, and that any attempt to make the Party platform fully pro-life will alienate a numbe rof Liberal Republicans.
So, I wouldn't be so sure about McCain's success this Fall. If anything, I would read his biography first.
I am not bashing her. I am asking what was she doing in Germany on taxpayers' dollars? What did she accomplish with such a trip? She could have visted the wounded in any VA hospital back home for a lot less.
But you give me the touchy-feely answer instead of hard facts. I can see where this is going.
