Taking a look at the stories in the Old Media will show that the Media is turning attack dog ASAP on McCain's choice for vice president, Sarah Palin. Notice the main meme is her supposed "inexperience." Funny how Palin was the VP pick for about 15 seconds before the Old Media went after her "inexperience" while they have yet to hit Barry Obama on HIS inexperience at all and he's been running for president since 2004. We should also note that Palin didn't get the honeymoon that Biden got when his announcement was made. But, the worst is yet to come and the Daily Kos is doing its level best to mine the lowest of lows. In a Kos diary today, it is being alleged that Sarah Palin "faked" the pregnancy of her last child, a baby born with Down's Syndrome. The claim is that it was her teenaged daughter's child, not hers. And, true to form, the Kossacks took that absurd calumny and hate even further in the comments.

My sister in law is 6 1/2 months now and barely looks it because she is in great shape and also tall. She was a star track athlete in high school and runs and works out daily.
But on the other hand my best friend looked pregnant at 2 months (okay thats an exaggeration to make a point)

I actually know Kos. He is a regular on a totally non political site I am a regular on (He’s a Cubs fan). He is starting to worry that some of the unhinged on his site are gong to hurt Obama more than help him and he’s trying to figure out how to reign them in,

Mono causes zero complications during pregnancy, nor is it a birth defect or miscarriage risk.
Booting or removing children from school because of Mono is an ill-informed relic of the pre 1970’s. The amount of saliva that someone else has to injest to trigger anything more than an immune cell-generating antibody reaction is substantial. It takes a minimum of care to prevent transmission. Care like ‘dont french kiss your sister’.

I’ve read a ton from all stripes of websites the last 24 hours and spoken with a few of my Democrat friends.
I think they are terrified of this pick and are coming unhinged. I have no idea whether McCain’s gamble will work, but the early returns are that it is galvanizing people behind McCain, which is a good thing.
I’d like McCain to use the “Palin is inexperienced” line to ask the country a question...”Why is it that you need to be a Harvard or Yale lawyer to be qualified to run the country? Can’t we have a common sense real person like Palin just for once?
