Vets take Obama to task By: Mike Allen August 26, 2008 10:45 AM EST
DENVER The conservative group Vets for Freedom is launching a $1.1 million ad buy during the Democratic National Convention, using video of Iraq war veterans to take Barack Obama to task for not giving the surge policy sufficient credit for improvement in battleground conditions.
The 30-second spot, called I Am the Surge, features three Iraq war veterans who served in the surge of U.S. military forces into Iraq: Gabriel Herrera, David Thul and Travis Quinlan.
The ad will run in Denver and Minnesota during the conventions, and for the next four weeks in the swing states of Ohio, Michigan, Virginia and Colorado.
Vets for Freedom Chairman Pete Hegseth, a decorated former Army infantry platoon leader in Baghdad, said in a statement: Vets for Freedom will not stand by and let the incredible progress of our troops go unnoticed by the American public and lawmakers from either side of the aisle.

Our heros made an ad
God Bless Them
Powerful.
Reminding people of Obama’s grand betrayal of our troops will anger the Messiah, so be it.
This is what the DEMS and the KERRY folks did to the 2004 Sinclair Broadcast of 'Stolen Honor'. The only way the general public could view that film was on Websites. The were not allowed to show it in theaters across the country.
The RATS are so desperate for office that they figure they can win by silencing their opposition- revealing their true Hitler- like socialist mentality.
Wow, I got goosebumps just reading it.
I respect that, but they probably should have waited to be sure that hillary doesn’t steal the nomination.

That is the lawsuit story.
That's why patriotic Americans respect the military. Our soldiers and their officers keep their word:
"I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God." (Title 10, US Code; Act of 5 May 1960 replacing the wording first adopted in 1789, with amendment effective 5 October 1962).
or
"I, _____ (SSAN), having been appointed an officer in the Army of the United States, as indicated above in the grade of _____ do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign or domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservations or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office upon which I am about to enter; So help me God." (DA Form 71, 1 August 1959, for officers.)
So help me God."I recall reciting those words several times as I enlisted and later re-enlisted. You know, though, when I got finally out, nobody ever told me that I was released from that oath.
Checkbooks and Credit Cards all.
The chance to be released from that oath wouldn't matter to anyone I've met. People like us don't want to be released (yeah, I took one very similar), and those on the other side never thought their oath meant anything in the first place.
