I thank you all! I am touched by the kindnesses shown to me.
I have Ovarian Cancer, stage 3 with luck and go to surgery Monday.
I wish all of you with wives and daughters, and ladies, would go to the Johns Hopkins Oncology Gyn website and review the symptoms.
It is usually in late stages when diagnosed because of the vague symptoms which I wrote off because I thought I was just getting old.
And ladies, insist your gyn do ovarian ultrasound every year. There is no reason for us to be dying of this disease.
I will keep you all in mind and if anyone has been thru this, I would appreciate a note.
Thank you again!! Pat

I just saw your post after reading through the thread. I am so sorry! It seems like there are a lot of issues that produce symptoms that most doctors consider vague— but should really be proactively investigated.
This topic is a pet peeve of mine...and I hope no one minds that I voice this opinion. Doctors IMHO should be screening for this as often as breast cancer, but they tend to not be proactive with women’s health issues.

I know you are probably getting ready for your surgery today(?) - if I understood right. But, I wanted you to know, that I will definitely be keeping you in my prayers. I will pray for God to be with you in a very "known" way - giving you strength, comfort, relief from pain and fear, and above all for His healing touch. I will also be praying for your doctors, surgeons, and other caregivers - for wisdom, skill, and strength. I will also be praying for all of your loved ones - that they will know just what to do that will help you the most, and that they will know the peace, and comfort of the Lord standing by their side.
God bless you & yours, LR

I have lung cancer, not ovarian cancer. But I understand the impact it can have on one's life. May God watch over you and guide those medical people who will care for you. May He give you and your family peace and strength as you endure this trial. May He restore you to complete health in His service, in Jesus' name.

Bless your heart cajungirl. So sorry to hear this. May God help you each step of the way through this.
But, remember, everyday people are surviving cancers we thought were killers before, melonoma, breast, brain tumors. So many now have fought off cancer several times during their lifetimes. People I thought did not have a chance, have lived many, many years.
I knew a lady that had breast cancer, colon cancer and even bladder cancer in her lifetime. She was like the energizer bunny. A tiny thing that you never would guess had all those health problems.
May God bless.
