O.K., sorry for the vanity but I have a concern.
This Saturday night, McCain and Obama do a forum together at Saddleback Church, where Rick Warren is the Pastor. This can be crucial, relative to the religious vote in this presidential campaign. Many think the smooth-talking Obama is going to come off great and leave John McCain, who is not one to talk about regligion, looking like a dolt. Many believe this will be a huge opportunity and advantage for Obama.
I wish to heck Rick Warren would have left well-enough alone. He's just got to have some "spotlight". This will probably end up hurting McCain.
Thankfully, Saturday night is not a big viewing night for TV and Michael Phelps might be swimming for his 8th Gold Medal during this time slot.
what say you?
Don’t sweat it. Nobody’s watching either one...............
No long term effects in my opinion. Still a Saturday night in summer with Olympics and a new cold war dawning. Consider it a trial run for both sides to test the other in the shadows.
The only way this becomes real news is if one of them falls down or says something monumentally stupid.
I think Warren is driven by his ego, as you suggested. I don’t believe he actually is too concerned about who becomes president. He just wants to get his foot in the door so that in the future he will be able to use his influence in the White House.
He does have a favorite in this race, in my opinion. He wants to influence the election so that Obama wins. And that alone tells me he really doesn’t care one whit about America.
Purpose Drivel ping!
The worst about that I see is people will be watching Phelps and may be flipping back and forth to see how the forum is going. I am really tired of Rick Warren. I appreciate what he does for Chris but he is obviously a Democrat who is very subtle about moving that party forward.
It’s too bad about this “set-up” and it’s too bad that he went and sucked up to Syria.
I saw Warren being interviewed this morning on Fox. He outlined the four areas he plans to question the candidates on. I can’t see any way where Obama could come out on top of these issues. Remember, Obama wont have his teleprompter.
Sorry.... Chris was supposed to be Christ above.
Who is Chris? ;)
I say to Rick, "Yah might want to be more concerned about being on the right side of 'character,' for the sake of your religion."
Why do you think God keeps showing us current examples of what happens when humans get too much power? Sad, but very true.
2) Warren is an authority of nothing. He had a big selling book but wields no clout except to the people that buy into his drivel.
3) McCain can at least speak coherently. Without a teleprompter, Obama sounds like Porky Pig having an epileptic seizure!
Warren has now anointed himself as a kingmaker...
What should happen is a Town Hall meeting with the two clowns and with out Rick Warren. You know how this is going to go. The Obomination will be practially preaching at you and McPain will be very uncomfortable.

Warren i slooking for MORE attention.
I won’t be wasting my time with this crap.
If you look up “charlatan” in the dictionary, you’ll find a picture of Rick Warren.
If B. Hussein isn’t the AC, Warren is my second choice. He’s one seriously creepy dude.
Cutting through the muck. Rick Warren is a “spiritual entrepreneur”. This event could be a title for his next book — The Purpose Driven Agenda.
Rick Warren = false prophet
