Easy decision.
To hell with Russia.

Oh...we multi-task quite well... I wouldn’t worry about it.

Why would we want to be “partners” with a regime of murderous thugs who are actively aiding and abetting the Axis of Terror?

This is a very difficult decision.
On one hand, we have a small democracy that not only poses no threat to the United States, but has actually proven to be much more of an ally than our traditional ‘friends’ in Europe.
On the other hand, we have a nation that still maintains a few thousand nuclear warheads, most of them aimed at us. And now, they’re issuing an ultimatum.
Yep, very difficult choice, this one.

Bush has already made his decision, Sergei. And that has Moscow deeply rattled.

If I were the powers-that-be, I’d immediately make a very strong, serious and public reassessment of the U.S. relationship with Russia and just as immediately begin acting on that reassessment.

The thugs of Russia can kiss my a$$. They are no friend of ours, and never have been. They diplomatically shove a sharp stick in our eye every chance they get. Screw em!

If Georgia wants freedom and Russia wants another cold war, that’s easy. Screw Moscow.

And there is any debate to this question?

The Russians have thrown the gauntlet. Either cooperate with us on our terms or stand with your ally. The Russians are betting we won't have the
cojones to stand up for the Georgians. They are taking the fullest measure of our resolve to defend our interests and stand by our friends. When push comes shove, that's what the Kremlin is betting America won't do. For the record, we haven't language like that since the worst days of the Cold War used against us.

Real partnership?
With Russia?
The only real partnership Russia has is with Iran.
Putin is evil! We don’t want partners like him!

We choose to stand with free Georgia, her democratically elected government and it's freedom-loving people. And we choose to stand against tyrannical regimes and countries that think what they want to take by tanks and force of arms is theirs for the taking.
If America and Americans do not stand with Georgia, then the Ukraine, Poland and other CIS states that won their freedom from the USSR will be the next to fall.
Note to Russia; this isn't 1936 - 1939 and your not NAZI Germany. We learned our lesson since the last time this stunt was pulled. The last time, no one did anything while Hitler gobbled up the Sudeten Land, Austria, Czechoslovakia and 80 million people died. This time around we will stand with our friends against naked aggression.
