A FOX News cameraman helped save the life of an injured Marine in Afghanistan — and was injured himself — when the armored Humvee convoy he was traveling in was struck by a roadside bomb Sunday night in the Helmand province, a Taliban stronghold.
Two U.S. Marines were badly injured when the improvised explosive device detonated near their convoy. Though FOX News cameraman Chris Jackson was injured in the blast, he went back to the burning vehicle to rescue one of the Marines.
"The cabin was on fire and I jumped out," said Jackson in a report filed immediately following the attack. "I went, grabbed the sergeant out of the shotgun seat, pulled him out."

I’m sure you will be criticized for “injecting yourself” into the story and Olberman will name you the worst person in the world; but I sincerely hope that you are recognized by others for your assistance and bravery! I’m positive the 2 Marines, and their families are grateful.
How long before some MSM type berates Fox for becoming part of the story instead of just reporting the story?.............

Civilian medal for this man please. That was sheer bravery and I am proud for him.
Civilians are eligible for some military awards as well, under certain circumstances.
Well, I’ll drink a toast to Chris Jackson.
Because he acted more in the spirit of Ernest Hemingway, not of
Dan Rather. (Even if some of the stories of Hemingway in WWII
may just have been self-serving stories. I’ve heard he actually
used a Thompson to drive off and kill some Germans and almost lost
his correpsondent’s credentials for it.)

Hemingway acted as an unofficial liaison officer at Château de Rambouillet,
and afterwards formed his own partisan group which, as he later wrote,

threw a hand grenade into a basement room full of German field grade
officers despite his official non-combatant role.
Jackson, 35, a longtime freelancer for FOX News, has been with the Jerusalem bureau since 2007. He is traveling in Afghanistan with Oliver North, a FOX News correspondent and retired Marine lieutenant colonel.

From the look in his eyes, Chris could pass for a Marine in civy clothing. He really does deserve an award of bravery.
Hopefully his actions will serve the secondary benefit of being bait to directly reveal the anti-American POS traitors in the MSM.
