Might I recommend DIRECT CONTRIBUTIONS to the campaign funds of Representatives actually PARTICIPATING on the floor? From Thread I, several noted they were donating to the RNC, and while it does send a message, it also puts money in the pockets of Reps who are not in Washington. That said, do send a note to the RNC telling them that you contributed to Rep. xyz precisely because s/he is in Washington. That puts the money and the message in the right places. JMHO

BUT here is a spark, tiny as it might be, and it needs encouragement. This is neither the time or place to be peeing on that spark if you catch my drift.

The Friday revolt lasted 30 minutes passed the closing deadline. So far, they only have about a dozen who have said they will participate. Unless 90% of the Pubbies and some Dems show up, this will go nowhere. If it does mushroom in to a real shaker that rattles the foundation of Pelosi's House, I will be surprised. The Pubbies generally aren't too effective at political stunts.

The government shutdown in 1995 gave us 4 more years of Clinton. Thanks, GOP.

As for 'peeing on the spark', the spark began last Friday and quickly fizzled last Friday when the participants blinked (decided to go home).

‘Nancy’s message boy interrupted me and sent me to voice mail!.....’

Same thing happened when I called last week.....immediately put me inot voice mail. I called back and asked if Mrs Pelosi ever listens to voice mail or are they just deleted. Response was they tally messages every hour. Again, I asked if MRS PELOSI listens to messages? Wanted to send me to voice mail...I said save your time.....that message will just be deleted with others. Young woman became irritated.....we don’t delete messages! ah yes, and I believe in the Easter Bunny.

But Murphy needs to tell his staff what is going on, because when I called his DC office Friday the girl who answered had no idea he was even still in town.

The same with my Congressman, Brain Bilbray. I called twice (the DC office) and both times they said he was on a plane back home to San Diego.

I was surprised to see his name on the list of those that were on the floor Friday. Heh, maybe Duncan Hunter had a little talk with him!

America still sleeps, while Pelosi “clarified” what was really happening on the Sunday “Meet the Press” propaganda shows, which about 1 or 2% of ALL Americans watched. (For about 10 minutes.)

Face it folks, the Democrats have already turned this around against us. This will become evident in the next several days and won’t even make it to the end of the week.
