CSPAN has shut down coverage of the House. The lights have been turned out.
House Republicans are still there, raising cain- trying to get them to turn the lights back on and continue debating over drilling!!!

I just called and said "There's a Republican revolt going on int the House Chamber and I wasn't seeing much coverage of it." I got a run around on it. Was told several times "There are no cameras on now. Cameras are not allowed." I objected, politely, that the story could still be covered.
He seemed mildly irritated that I would question that and asked if I wanted to talk to (name garbled) and I said yes. Got a phone tree that led to leaving a recorded message. I did...
"There's a Republican revolt going on in the House Chamber. I understand that the cameras are turned off. You can still cover the story. Thank you."

Saw the whole thing earlier. No news coverage on TV. Thanks to the person who listed all the phone numbers.
I called Fox and a woman answered. Asked what was happening on the floor of the House because it wasn’t being covered. She transferred my call REAl QUICK to a recording and I hung up. Then, since Brit Hume’s number was listed, called him and got his voice mail Left message asking why Fox was not covering the House of Reps. situation. Will probably never know. I was really not happy with the lack of ANY coverage. C-SPAN 1 came through eventually.
Of course, as a good Christian, I’d feel compelled to include the brand name and specific name of the tea.
Doesn’t mean I’d feel compelled to tell all the details.
Should I repent?
Oh wait . . . I’m just thinking out loud . . . however, . . . I am thinking in my heart! LOL.

That’s my take on it all, too.
Though I don’t know the timing.
I think their reign will be a lot more troubled and a LOT shorter than they think.
God has many more surprises up His much bigger sleeves than I think they have any clue of.
There was a bit on Fox this afternoon...with some video from
a cell phone on the floor of the house. They sure were slow
on the uptake, though. I even sent a video in on their site where
a person can do that. It was one that was linked here.
The puppet masters have been acting increasingly as though they are convinced that their plans are implemented so thoroughly and so well already, that
NOTHING
can stop them now.
They are increasingly overt and increasingly brazen.
There are stories that W is trying to sabotage whatever of their plans he can. I hope so.
But I’m certain they see him as just a hired actor, a bit player at most anyway.
But we all know if it had been the Democrats the press would have been there from the get go because some dem would have tipped them off and they would have come running.

I tried to order tea or balloons or flowers to be sent to the Floor of the House. I was told they could not be delivered. It was 3:03 p.m.
America was America today for the 1st time in a long time.
HAD THE REPS CONTINUED ON, I WOULD HAVE GOTTEN IN MY CAR AND DRIVEN ALL NIGHT TO BE THERE, JUST TO STAND IN WITNESS TO MY COUNTRYMEN.
I have a great deal of admiration and respect for President Bush really I do. But it seems to me he and the Republicans missed the opportunity to turn this thing on it’s head, and force the democrats to return for a vote. They missed a truly big moment. Scores of people were ready to go to D.C. to support them (and feed them). Too bad.
FReepers suggested it. In fact FReepers suggested that Congressmen could sneak in video cams and a short while later it was posted that a couple of them had tried but were stopped. FR made a hugh difference today. We hammered the line at the breaking news desk until they relented and started covering it. And they ended up giving it a lot of coverage.

Yep. I called.....the Washington office was busy but after hitting redial only twice, I was able to actually leave a message with a human who said he’d pass along my comments.
The oh-so-soft-spoken girl in the CA office was polite and put me thru to a message thingy.
I am sure that nice man REALLY passed along that message, too.
Riiiiiiight!
