I saw Sheila Jackson Lee’s staff interrupt a James Brown concert for 10 minutes while they made a presentation on behalf of Queen Sheila (who was not even present) to declare it James Brown Day and recite the accomplishments of Mr. Brown (in very loose form) while making sure that the audience was aware of Sheila Jackson Lee (who could not make it).

This occurred in the middle of the show and James was fuming as it was killing the energy of the performance for TEN minutes.
