"Just like there must have been many people who had access to John "The Snake" Kerry's military record and yet, no one ever leaked any of the relevant documents (like discharge papers, citations, etc.) for this traitorous rat bastard either."

And his qualifications to hold the office of Senator oppose the clear language of the Constitution, but nobody has ever raised the first question.

Amendment XIV, Section 3 of the Constitution of the United States: No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.

John Kerry was an officer in the military which required him to take the oath to support the Constitution. He gave "aid and comfort" to the enemy when he met with them in Paris after taking his oath. Not to mention, FBI files indicate that he was present at the VVAW meeting where the assassination of U.S. Senators was discussed. He even admitted it to reporters. LINK

Kerry should never have been able to run for President, much less hold office as Senator, but he did and does.

Nobody seems to know whose respnsibility it is to verify a candidate is eligible to run for president. I have tried to find out what sort of proof they need, but came up empty.

This wont make you any money but it is the constitutionally correct method for challenging Obama's qualification. Both Article II Section 1 and Amendment XII of the US Constitution call for President of the Senate to count the electors vote. There are procedures for congress to make the choice if no one has a majority, therefore the constitutionally correct place to challenge the eligibility of a Presidential candidate who has won a majority of the vote would be in congress. It is not spelled out but if a challenge were made at the time the electors’ votes are counted the Senate would probably have to vote on the issue. Evidence would be presented and testimony heard, then a decision would have to be made. There is nothing in the Constitution giving the courts authority to make the decision; lawyers think the courts are always the place for making decisions so they don’t think of other options that would probably fit better with the structure of the Constitution. It does not matter whether the challenge is to the election of McCain, Obama or anyone else, the process would be the same. Another possibility would be to use the procedures for impeachment after Congress certifies the election results, since running for office in violation of the constitutional requirement for being a natural born citizen would be high Crime or Misdemeanor.

I don’t know about this scheme of yours. It sounds a lot harder than posting my inarticulate frustration here on FreeRepublic.

What about demanding that the the U.S. Attorney General get that birth certificate released to the public? Is this not a crime against our constitutional system of government?

Are you trying to suppress crackpot conspiracy theories free speech?

You must be one of those "sleeper" Obama supporters on FR who've lain in wait for years, ready to pounce just at the moment that the shocking truth shall be revealed.

I renounce you, and the check I just put in the mail.

“Prove? We don’t got to prove nothing. We have a perfectly good whisper campaign going on here. If the rumors are believable, and in this case they are, they get traction. This is what the drive-bys are doing to the Republicans. The Rats scream like stuck hogs when it’s done to them.
BTW, I heard that his parents never married.”

>>Why don’t we just require he show us his real certified and verified birth certificate?

How about a “bipartisan” approach and “reach across the aisle”? Since there are questions regarding BOTH Obama and McCain’s eligibility, why not render them unfit and ineligible? Then we can start over and get two meaningful candidates that at least have differences of opinion and positions.

Now all we have is “Pablum for President”.

“BTW, I heard that his parents never married.”

I heard that in the past Obama probably supported (along with Bill Ayers and muslim jihadists Obama met in his youth) the destruction of the United States but now instead of supporting it directly he only supports others who support it.

Slow down Skippy ... I'm printing as fast as I can.

Hey, can you front me some more ink cartridges?

P.S. That's been the logic that has been missing since I've been in FreeRepublic ... the time needed to accomplish questionable achievements. Look at the x42 impeachment 'trial' ... we were told up-front nothing would ever come of it and the managers went through the rigamarole anyway.

Rush wasted time with his 'operation chaos' and too many people bought into it.

We've got three months to destroy Obama and get McCain elected (for better or worse, in sickness and in health).

Personally, I think we're screwed and hope all my children are armed and informed, and I die before its first four years are up. ... Right ... first four years.

Certified check only please....

Certified check? Not only is that difficult to do, but leaves traceability open so the leftists can follow the money and harass the donors!

No, there are much better ways to do that; I think you need a financial consultant to assist raising the funds in the proper, legally protected manner.

I will gladly volunteer my time, but I do have certain travel costs that would have to be covered (of course), so I would only expect a 5% commission on funds properly transferred and managed...:)

He qualifies under at least two of them. His mother was a citizen and had lived in the US for at least 5 years, for example.

That is really only ONE and he doesn't qualify. I believe that the requirement was / is that at least one parent be an American citizen AND have lived in the US for five years AFTER age 16. Since Obama was whelped when his mother was 18, she could not have lived in the US five years after age 16.

"Obama has no responsibility to “prove” he is a citizen."

There is one time I know of when a person must prove he is a citizen of the United States and that's when he applies for a passport. When applying for a passport a person must submit a valid birth certificate and the birth certificate along with all documentation is retained by the State Department.

If you will remember, a few months ago several State Department employees were disciplined for viewing Obama's passport documentation without authorization. Obviously, there were people at the State Department who were also curious about what Obama's birth certificate says and curious enough about it to do something that would get them fired.

At the time, I couldn't think of anything that could possibly be in a person's passport application that would cause a State Department employee to risk getting fired over, but now it's beginning to make sense. I believe there is something on that birth certificate that could have caused Obama to lose the Democrat nomination and now possibly to lose the election.

I think you are basically correct -- as opposed to post 13, who seems to think that the constitution requires some procedure (like "and every person running for president must prove his age and birth") -- it doesn't. The founders thought it would all be done by the electoral college, so the whole notion of filing and voting in each state, etc, was just outside of their contemplation.

My real question on this whole fuss, though, is:

Is there even the slightest notion that Ms. Dunham was any place other than hawaii during her pregnancy? The fuss only makes sense if there is some plausible idea that she ran off to (Mexico, canada, kenya, Iseland??) somewhere outside the US to give birth. Unless someone has any hint whatsoever of that, it seems like a wild goose chase.

I think you’re underestimating your need for field investigation, so I’m proferring the services of an experienced PI/CFE. I’m willing to guarantee the best hourly rates in the city, provided I’m allowed to choose the city.
