Fox News is announcing that Tony Snow has died.
Heartbreaking news.
RIP Tony Snow, You will be missed.
Indeed you can say that Tony fought the good fight, he finished the course and he kept the faith right out of 2nd Timothy chapter 4 verse 7. God speed my friend.
Heard him speak at the close of CPAC this past February. An amazing speech and a very energetic performance with scores of great one liners. Wish I had the speech on tape!
Terrible news.
Thanks for the ping, cibco. Hope you and def are doing well.
Tears in my eyes as I type this. God bless Tony’s family and may he rest in God’s love.
I am heartbroken by the news. I really hoped he was doing better since he had signed on with CNN. My grandmother died of colon cancer, and because of that and Tony’s illness, I didn’t delay a colonoscopy. I just wish Fox would give him the coverage they gave Russert. I’m getting the news about Tony on CNN. RIP, gentle soul. You are loved and will be missed.
Dear Lord Jesus,
I hope that you have already taken our brother Tony Snow into your arms. I pray today for his family, and the rest of us who mourn his loss.
Just Damn.
Rest in Peace, Tony.
Thanks for taking the time to write this, Hildy. Lovely memories.
Very sad news indeed. He will be missed.
Oh, they'll do better than that. You can bet they're putting something very good together at this very moment.
(((saveliberty)))
Prayers for you too, my FRiend, as I know you feel this loss deeply.
“May God rest his soul in peace.
May the Lord be very near to his family.
I am thanking God for Tonys life.”
What a lovely tribute, Joya. Those were the words I was looking for and I’m going to say them every day. Tony Snow was a Blessing and a gift to all of us, a perfect example of living a life of grace and love. Tony touched millions of people with his joy of life. He was very soft-spoken and modest and epitomized the word class.
Bahbah and saveliberty, I don’t think I thanked you for your pings. I was just so stunned to hear this terrible news. I can’t imagine the agony Tony felt knowing he was leaving his beloved family. We need to cover them all with our prayers.
Tony’s faith was very strong; he accepted his fate. I know our Lord was with Tony and his family as he passed from this life. He left behind many, many broken hearts. We will miss you terribly, dear Snowman.
God bless Tony Snow. I’m sure that he and Tim Russert are having a good laugh together in heaven today.
You know the difference between those who have faith in God,as Tony did, will be welcomed home. For the liberals who worship death, that is what they will receive, their fruits! It is truly a blessing to envision someone being welcomed home with their father in heaven and to receive eternal happiness. For those left behind, while they rejoice that their loved one is now at home with their Lord, their grief must be enormous at losing such a fine man, father, and dear husband. Once on Fox Tony Snow was all dressed up in a tux and everyone was talking about how good he looked but all he could talk about it was how wonderful his wife was and how he had no idea how he could be so lucky to have a woman like her. I never forgot how gracious he was when he was receiving so many compliments and turned it around to compliment his wife.
It was a shock to see this news, even though he had been battling cancer. It's very sad. He was so young.
It's so cliche, but he was the type of person who lived life to the fullest.
I remember the Snow Talk Show thread here, as one of my favorite internet memories.
Tony was truly a wonderful, gentle, man.
God bless Jill and the family.
RIP Tony, condolences to his family.
He was a truly sweet, gentle, man.
My father was given a yr. to live in 1965 when first diagnosed with colon cancer. He, and we, were blessed with 20 more years, until he was 62. He also worked up until 6 months before he died, even with a colostomy for his last two years.
My 77 yr. old mother, who lives with me, will be saddened when she hears about Tony (late sleeper she is).
Thoughts and prayers to Tony’s family and friends.
A great guy. The sort of conservative I wish we had leading the Republican Party.
He will be missed.
