Fox News is announcing that Tony Snow has died.
Heartbreaking news.
It was hard to get it together long enough to post....
I can’t quit crying....
I remember the last time Tony was here at Free Republic. It was during the Dubai Ports debate and he was here doing his job, trying to muster up support for it. I so enjoyed him. He was a classy guy who fought his illness with grace and courage. He even had the ability to charm Helen Thomas and that’s sayin’ something.
Rest in peace, Tony.
I just heard, My prayers and condolences to his family, and for Tony.
It was so cool to see him post here with us Freepers, Its a very sad day now that he has passed.
RIP Tony, you really were one of the good guys.
I am so sorry to read this.Doesn’t seem that long that he was posting.Prayers for his family. He was a wonderful man and he will be missed,Fatima
I’m in tears. He was in my prayers last night as he usually is, and I was hoping we’d hear how he was doing -—but not like this.
His last FReeper post was so positive —but isn’t that what he was like. He was truely a special person
I feel for his family. May God give them strength and comfort.
So sad. Prayers go out to Tony and his family and friends.
I just did a cancer walk this morning for a family friends daughter who died of cancer this past year at 7 yrs old. Damn this cancer thing!
Prayers for the Snow family!
Prayers and Tears for this Good Man’s Family. We Love you, Tony, and will See you in our Heavenly Father’s House.
And, typically, his last post was about someone else besides himself.
A true gentleman, he was.

oh my - that song lifted my heart - but brought the tears...again....
Thanks for posting it.
That heavenly sunlight shown in Tony Snow’s eyes.
We were all the better for having witnessed it.
I am so saddened by this news.
Tony Snow was a true blessing to his family, friends, and country. RIP, Tony. We will all miss you so.
“Well, Tony has achieved the impossible. Talking about his life has made the weekend F&F crew possible to listen to.”
Does that count as his first miracle toward canonization???? LOL

The public personal struggle of Tony Snow
Aug. 7, 2007: NBC’s David Gregory sits down for an exclusive conversation with White House spokesman Tony Snow and the difficulty of battling cancer in a very public setting.
((((LUV W)))), I can’t stop crying. My guess is Tony would tell us we are all being silly, but he would be happy that we Snowflakes are all here, loving each other.
Conservatives will always be misrepresented.
Just wait till the president has retired. It will be a
shark food-fight.
My deepest condolences to Tony’s family. It will be difficult for them. He was a wonderful man. Please God, take good care of Tony’s family.
I just got off the telephone with my family in Europe. They too are heartbroken. One of the good guys has passed on leaving the world that much worse off. Tony gave journalism a good name. He was the best, the very best and he will be sorely missed. I cannot think of one journalist who had as much class as Tony Snow.
Mr G and I are in tears. We never met this lovely man, but feel as though he were a friend. I was thinking about Tony the last few days, and even considered looking up a snowflake thread to see if there was any word about how he was doing.
Thank you Tony, for a life well lived. Jesus, please give him a hug for us.
I never had the honor of meeting Tony Snow, but I feel like I’ve lost a friend. My prayers are with his wife and children.
I think he knows where we all are.
It’s going to be hard to work in public...and trying NOT
to remember how fun his threads were.....
This...our last one....is not so much fun...
