As pointed out by this representative of the Florida Attorney General's office, it is impossible to separate national security issues from illegal immigration, and one of the most important illegal immigration issues in Florida is the issue of human trafficking. And as Jake at Freedom Folks notes (thanks for the tip), this story doesn't appear to have been covered by the news wires.
Here, a horrifying story is described of a little girl who, after being taken to the Florida panhandle from Mexico, resisted while being raped, and was subsequently made an example of by being beheaded in front of other girls being held to be raped repeatedly. The girls made to watch were then left in the room with the little girls body for several hours.

I wonder if President Bush and members of Congress even know about ghoulish things like this? And if so, what do they think?
Too quick. I suggest tieing him down next to a fireant mound.
By way of example you said that Bush has thrown us a few bones. Naming the SCOTUS justices he has, the ones who gave us this ruling and will sit on the bench for another 30 or 40 years is 'throwing us a few bones'? You need to seek help.
This is a ruling that lovers of the Constitution have been waitng for for decades. That's a big deal, and most of the country agrees, centainly our enemies, the Left.
Real: Bill Stewart said it. Unconfirmed: Everything else.
There are 2 types of BDS...one in which leftists rabidly hate Bush, just because, and one in which Bush is to be defended at all costs. I can see you fall into the latter...
BTW, I asked you a question...How many dead bodies are you prepared to ignore and sidestep in W’s defense?
Bush’s policy of deliberate non-enforcement of our borders and national sovereignty is having deadly consequences for Americans. How much of that are you willing to overlook? Or is that just the cost of doing business under the Bush Administration?
Yup. The story must be suppressed by the MSM because it’s not politically correct. It couldn’t possibly be because this story has no names, dates, or places — not a single verifiable fact.
I will try to contact the State of Florida atty general’s office to verify. It won’t be today.
And you know that how?
This (and story, after story, after story) is why McCain Amnasty is a deal breaker.
Very good job, ClancyJ
I don’t agree with everything President Bush does and says but then I don’t agree with everything my husband does and says 100% of the time either. :)
You have mail.
This calls for plyers and a blowtorch...

Just reading the headline made me sick to my stomach and I have a strong stomach.
May God grant eternal peace to this precious little girl and comfort to her family.
May the devil prepare the hottest place in hell for the perps.
Some of God's Chil'run are acting up again. Better get Juan on that.
“So your vote will ensure Marxist Obama as commander in chief.”
If not, my write in will and I won’t be shamed for it.
Forget it - the Bush administration is over.
Start your arguments for Obama. Of course, you know full well - Obama won’t care what you say about it - nor will McCain unless we are really lucky.
I support this president and will until the end of his term. He has done an awful lot - especially stopping the terrorist killing of Americans in the U.S. That is enough for me.
Immigration - nothing going to happen because of the make-up of the congress - we have no people that will fight the democrats and stand up to them and we will have less after the next election.
So, as long as both parties will not cross the hispanic population in fear of alienating the numbers of voters they represent, we will have the illegals. The hispanics are expecting to represent 25% more voters in the future. The party getting those voters will be the party in office.
And, of course, the democrats are going to block any effort at border control because they want to push the illegals through to vote for the democrats illegally - as they always do.
You come up with a way to solve the border problem. Just don’t expect Bush to get anything through - he tried once and it failed.
Like I said, his administration is over.
Take your complaints to the new man in office - Obama/McCain.
See how far you get with them - but I sure won’t be here telling you of the good things they do.
We are all going to regret not having George Bush in office and the main reason is because we will no longer trust the man in office. We may have an ultra leftie or one that enjoys stabbing us in the back while glad handing the democrats.
At least I won’t feel the need to defend them.
Much like our lawless borders and sovereignty.
I support this president
No kidding?
Yes and, of course, only the latest ruling on gun rights.
Another mere bone.
Not to mention - standing up against abortion, standing firm in the war when all were against him, 2 tax cuts, against partial birth abortion, against fetal stem cell experimentation, a staff all could trust, no worry about corruption in the White House, missile defense, on and on. My only disagreement was immigration.
