Never ask Pat about the Holocaust...

I heard he lost a relative, they fell off one of the concentration camp guard towers. (drumroll)

You are right. He is used by the left as the “Republican Spokesman” to embarrass us and to make us all look like nasty, scowling loonies. I can’t stand him—he is a kooky, snarling man and does not speak for the GOP—only the loonies.

“And that opens the door for the Left to do similar, against ... Rush? Hannity? FR?”

They write all day long.

This is an attack from the right to say the go-to “conservative” Pat Buchanon is not a conservative and does not speak for us.

There’s a difference between silencing and ignoring.

You're absolutely correct, and here's where the thread falls down on exactly the wrong side of your comparison:

The idea came up on a thread today that perhaps it would be a good idea to write to the various conservative websites/publications that currently pay/publish Patrick Buchanan, and let them know that we would like them to stop publishing him.

But since you're throwing him under the bus can you throw his buddy Joe Scarborough with him?

Sure! But I don't think anyone really associates him with the right wing, do they? And he isn't a nouveau Nazi like Pat. He's just a squinty eyed, mealy mouthed talking head.

“You destroy Buchanan and then Obama destroys you.”

Nonsense.

Obama (and his ilk) uses Buchanon to make Jews fear conservatices.

Yep! You are so right! (no pun intended)....

Every time I see him on TV I cringe...he’s such an embarassment......why do Ingram and nannity have him on? I think he’s certifiable.

“A grass roots effort to not have Patsy Pukecannon published on otherwise CONSERVATIVE clearinghouses of opinion and articles would clear up any confusion as to Patsy supposedly being a Conservative.”

Amen!

Telling a conservative publication you’d like them to stop publishing PJB is not an effort to silence him or infringe on his right of free speech. It’s the free market at work, and further, it’d be a political move by conservative grass roots. He’s free to find a publisher any time he wants. I’m not trying to take away his rights. But we are free to give feedback to the conservative publications that give him a platform. It’s not censorship at all.

Fox News should have ditched Pat Buchanan.

I watch Fox exclusively since 9-11 and I don't believe I've ever seen him on Fox. I supported him as the Con on Crossfire but after he took up for that Nazi Camp war criminal he was totally ostracized and consequently became totally reactionary. RIP Pat B.

Pat has joined PMSNBC. Isn’t that punishment enough. What’s next for him? Air America?

It ought to be. And we ought to help it along.

Pat has gone WAY off the deep end.

WWII an “Unnecessary War” ??!!?? (My grandmother who was a ‘Taftie’ would have agreed with this, though. My German mother who would not join the party would have thought different.)

I think he’s spending too much time with progressives at the other channel. Remember when Jimmy Carter said the Revolutionary War was ‘unnecessary’? All we had to do was appeal to the crown, they eventually would have to give in.

The world is going mad, I say!

But it's a free market.

You're funny, Huck.

First you say he has a right to say what he wants [correct], then "it's a free market" - i.e., private publications can run his stuff if they so choose [correct again] ... BUT THEN you try to get others to join you on your little intimidation crusade to try any blacklist Pat from being published .... yikes.

Censorship is not a good idea .... but if you like it so much, perhaps you'd be more at home living in Russia or Communist China?
