Tim Russert, NBC journalist and political heavyweight host of "Meet the Press," has died after collapsing at NBC's Washington news bureau, a source said. He was 58 years old.
I was very touched by his love and admiration for his father. May God have mercy on Big Russ on the loss of his son, and on Tim’s wife and son. Sad day for the family.
You do realize he’ll probably be replaced with someone who, unlike Russert, won’t even try to be fair.
How awful. Prayers for the family.

Not sure how Moynihan is relevant to the point about how nasty the current crop of liberals (posts cited) are to anyone not 110% in their camp, even if otherwise 99% a liberal (e.g., Liberman, Russert).
The hatred of Clinton in favor of marxist Obama is another example.
Olbermann.
Amen...
In the big scheme of things....it doesn't mean anything now.
I believe Rush Limbaugh actually respected Tim in certain ways. That is praise indeed - considering Rush and the MSM.
OMG.
What an awful bunch of thoughts.
Many on the Dem/left side are evil bastards so we know what they would say. To be completely honest, I wasn’t shedding any tears or sending “prayers up” when Ted Kennedy’s ill health was announced. I wasn’t asking God for his death, but I really couldn’t have cared less about it. I share your sentiments on what the left are doing to this country. However, I think there are varying degrees of people that call themselves Dems and not all of them are like the traitors in Congress or the lunatics we see at DU. I don’t know to what degree Russert was a leftie, but from how he conducted himself in public, he seemed to be, overall, a decent man.
Since I've learned about DVT, I remember to move my legs when flying, even if I'm just sitting in the chair the whole time. I stretch them out, then bring my knees up as much as possible; anything to keep the blood flowing in them.
Tim was apparently very well-liked in the industry. The guy on the radio who announced this story at the top of the last hour sounded like he was going to break down on the air.
I was curious because Russert was an aide to Moynihan. I don’t think Russert has shown himself anymore liberal than Moynihan was, and I don’t consider Moynihan to have been “extremely liberal”.
My thoughts and prayers are with your family, Mr. Russert. Rest in Peace.
Don’t necessarily share your exact sentiments in this case, but respect your passion. IMO this country could use more of that.
