Tim Russert, NBC journalist and political heavyweight host of "Meet the Press," has died after collapsing at NBC's Washington news bureau, a source said. He was 58 years old.

I know he was a lib, Tim was NOT a liberal. He would be insulted to be called that. He was just a typical South Buffalo democrat. Born and raised that way. Great Americans all. I live in Buffalo and I will attest to that. Wrong on most things political but great Americans. Salt of the earth. We are a poorer nation for his loss.

He isn’t.” Clinton insinuations should be taken as threats. Like the whole Bobbie-Kennedy-was-assassinated remark should be taken as a threat to Obama.

Wasn't he involved in the Valerie Plame case as a witness? I seem to remember that he gave false testimony that helped convict an innocent Scooter Libby. On the other hand, he seemed to be the type of lib that you could have a political discussion with, without (him) resorting to insults and msm talking points. He was what he was- a man loyal to his party. I never wished anything bad on him.

Tim Russert wasn't my favorite news reporter but he was only moderately liberal and a guy it seemed hard to dislike.
Gone too soon at 58 years old. Sums up the feeling in our house too. RIP, Mr. Russert...
