The question is at the bottom of the page, the effect on Conservatism is a tough call unless McCain changes the type of politician he's been over the last decade or more.
Conservatives would probably unite if Obama is President but Obama will use typical divide a conquer strategies against the leadership of the opposition to say and the media will broadcast the message loud and clear. If you support my oppositions position you are radical, right wing, redneck, racist. Otherwise known as the 4 R's of the Republican Party.

Tough call.....I hope you didn't hurt yourself too badly while deciding.
It should be B. Hussein O. in a landslide.

It depends on the time period:
Short-term Obama would obviously be worse.
Long-term McCain would probably be worse because it would be the irreversible transformation of the Republican Party into the Democrat-lite Party.

John McCain would reward the behavior of the RINOs, encouraging more. Plus he’d destroy the country.
Without a party for conservatives, the country fall.
Obama would destroy the country on his own.
Can I vote both?

This is similar to asking "What is worse for the country; pestilence or famine?" Pick your poison, but your only option is the choice of poisons.

That’s my belief too, because McCain is already shown he won’t fight for Conservative Judges when the odds are in his favor.
The deck will be stacked against him and he is likely to appoint libs that will be said later, look at this conservative court, the Republican Presidents nominated them all.
My reply to that is who controlled the Senate at the time and what kind of Judge came out, Clinton got Ginsberg and I believe Breyer before the Dems lost the Senate in Nov, 1994. Breyer may have been afterward but Hatch told Clinton we know these people are libs but it’s your choice. They didn’t mount any oppositon to them.

I'm not a "right wing" fascist, "redneck," "racist," pimp, gambler, drug addict, thief, swindler, family buster (feminist/romanticist/corporate) or commie sympathizer (free traitor). [...covered the interests of just about all of the political parties--large and small--there.]
I'm an old fashioned, morally conservative American. I'm not rich and don't have a party.

I hate to break the news to you. Obama and his Marxist buddies are the Dem party of 1992 or 1980 These Marxists plan to rewrite every single law to insure they stay in power for ever. They will wipe out the electoral college, give 30 million illegal instant voting rights, shut down the new media , and talk radio. These radical Marxists like Obama , Ayers, Wright, Moveon.org , ACCORN ,and ANSWER , and Farrakhan play for keeps. The old dem party is dead . This the a radical Socialist party. Wake up your great idea about letting the radical left take control our great country is irrational.
