CNN story. Apparently Obama sent a letter to his pastor but that has yet to be released.
Did he announce he is starting his own religion?
It’s just just not the same without Rev Wright there anymore.
It cerainly won’t hurt him. He has effectively neutralized this issue, unfortunately. Time to move on to Ayers. and the queer guy he an affair with..., And the cocaine, of course. And Rezko. Plenty of fodder there if the GOPers have the guts to use it.
1. His opponent has a thin rightwing base of support, therefore shares the middle with Hussein.
2. He is protected by the MSM/Hollywood/Academia machine.
3. He is black, and Americans hate being called racist.
It really matters not his positions or gaffes, because no one knows them but us.

One can imagine this expediency style in policy matters should Obama become president.
Policy by poll, that will be the way, unless it steps on Blacks or Muslims.
Now, to truly show his sincerity of wanting to turn the corner:
Resign from the Senate, and from the Presidential run.
Clearly, by his resignation from the tucc den of hate, he understands that he is tainted with poison. His focus should be to seek repentance from the LORD, not political office...
Of course if he doesn't resign from the Senate and political office, I suppose one might question the sincerity of his resignation from that church of race hatred... Some might consider it to have been merely an act of political expediency -- but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt as I wait for his retirement (or at least a several year absence) from political office...
Too little, too late in my book. He should have denounced the racist’s, anti American, pig of a so called, who in my book is NOT a real minister when he says GD America in front of kids in his congregation.
Not only did he throw the church under the bus, but all of it`s parishoners as well. Be interesting to see if the church retaliates against him.

He’s rich. He doesn’t need to “cling” to religion any more.
Does he really think the people who were offended by his church of 20 years, the church and minister he defended until it was obvious it wasn't working, will be fooled by this act?
He is still the same person who called Rev. Wright his mentor, the same Rev Wright who married him and baptised his children, and then says "God Damn America" etc., etc. I'm not fooled in the least.
