In an exclusive interview with WAPA-TV of San Juan, Puerto Rico, Hillary stated (her words are close captioned in English) that she favors Puerto Ricans voting for the President of the United States in the November general election.
Translation: Roughly 2 to 2.5 million votes going to the Democratic presidential nominee, whomever that might be.
Even if I reside in Puerto Rico, as a constitutional constructionist, I do not agree with granting the vote in Presidential elections to the U.S. Citizens of Puerto Rico without statehood or a Constitutional amendment.
Puerto Rico Ping! Please Freepmail me if you want on or off the list.
Puerto Rico has more delegates than 24 U.S. states.
That’s because, if it was a state, it would have more congresscitters than a couple of dozen states have.
I agree. What good is the presidential vote for Puerto Rico if the island still would not have adequate representation in the Congress? Statehood is the only answer.
NEXT, the Dems will allow Al Qaida to vote, since they get 100% of that group!
“What good is the presidential vote for Puerto Rico if the island still would not have adequate representation in the Congress? “
They actually have two Congressmen sitting, they just can’t vote; YET.
“Puerto Rico has more delegates than 24 U.S. states.”
Hows that? I thought that they have the minimum two Reps allow per State.
Puerto Rico has only one Resident Commissioner in the US Congress (representing a population of nearly 4 million US citizens) and he cannot vote.
They don’t have any Representatives or Senators.
"Hows that? I thought that they have the minimum two Reps allow per State."
More delegates than 24 U.S. states GOING TO THE DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL CONVENTION....
Actually, Puerto Rico sends only one: a Resident Commissioner who sits in the House of Representatives and is allowed to vote in committee but not in the full floor.
