While McCain was flying Alpha Strikes up North Harkin was ferrying clunkers between Atsugi, Cubi and sometimes Da Nang. He wasn't in country enough to even earn a VSM.
He and Kerry are really a matched pair...

Harkin is an idiot, and he’s obviously giving a test-drive to a talking point that the democrats think they might have to use this fall. Obama is extremely weak in polling regarding the commander in chief issue when compared with McCain.
To respond to Obama’s weakness the democrats are testing a number of responses to see how they fly.
1. It is a gross violation of rights and ethics to suggest that someone is disqualified from the presidency because of any career of his parents.
2. McCain is not the only president who has had a military background.
3. The military has always been an asset to the nation.

Harkin was my Senator for a number of years. He is a first-class a**hole with no moral bearings whatsoever. Some of his campaign commercials in support of abortion were downright evil and sickening.
