Turns out that Obama's opening act at the megarally was The Decemberists, a hugely popular indie rock band, which typically opens their concerts with the Soviet National Anthem.
How odd that the MSM didn't tell us that a few of the 75K in attendance may have come for the tunes.
And did the Obama rally begin with the Soviet National Anthem? The concert went for 45 minutes and was widely pitched on Facebook etc. But did the band trim their act to make it Obama-appropriate?
BTW: Here's an except of an interview with the band's guitarist:
Were a city magazine, so wed like to talk about some of the cities in your life. Think of this as an urban Rorschach test. Im going to say a city, and you say the first few words that come into your mind.
Okay.
Valparaiso, Indiana [Funks hometown].
Popcorn central. Its where Orville Redenbachers from.
Portland, Oregon.
Dont move here.
Why not?
Cause, I like it the way it is.
Okay, Washington, DC.
Harboring war criminals.
Do you mean politicians?
Yeah, I mean the big guy. You know, the guy who ignores the UN, that one. The guy who pretends hes from Texas, but is really from Connecticut. The guy who cant dribble a basketball. The guy who farms out our military. Etc....
The name Decemberists is a reference to the Decembrist Revolt of 1825 against the Russian monarchy.
I wonder if Obama’s best friend is Vladimir Putin.
They were all shot to death in cold blood.
Here is an undated photo of Tsar Nicholas and his family, who were murdered by the Communists. Communists who are heralded by Obama's followers:
Decemberists?
More like Red Octoberists.
Weird.
What was the point in wiping out the whole family? The only thing that I could conclude is that Lenin, who did give the order to kill, was a heartless, cold-blooded killer. All their remains have been put to rest right?/Just Asking - seoul62.......
“The name Decemberists is a reference to the Decembrist Revolt of 1825 against the Russian monarchy.”
They are a bunch of effete fops compared to the intellectuals who went up against the Tsar.
Of course, we know how well that worked. /s
“Yeah, and the Communist b@st@rds murdered Tsar Nicholas and his family in the process.
They were all shot to death in cold blood.”
Wrong Nicholas. The Boshevik revolution was 1917-1918.
The Decembrists killed his Grandfather by placing a bomb under his carriage.
I read somewhere else that free beer was also served. I can’t verify it though.
Your explanation works as well as anyone else's for me.
The dead bodies of the family were burned and then acid was poured on what was left so that there would be absolutely no vestige of the Romanoffs left.
There were rumors that a daughter, Anastasia, escaped, but Anastasia never showed up anywhere else.
Come to think of it, one of the lyrics from "Sympathy for the Devil" where it got around to the Bolshevik revolution was "Anastasia screamed in vain."
Communists were murdering bastards then and they still are now.
Hell say and do anything to gain power. And, the media will cover his tracks by remaining silent. Liberal white guilt and abject stupidity might get him elected.
Awesome video:
The same kind of terrorists who support Obama did this:

Never apologize for them.
Never appease them.
Never forget.
Deflating news for me but not surprising. I love the Decemberists. I bought their album, “Picaresque,” a few years back and it’s an amazing piece of music. I’m not naive, though, so I always assumed the members were lefties, but I still enjoyed the music so long as they kept their mouths shut.
This interview with the guitarist is beyond the pale, however. Sadly, I will no longer listen to the Decemberists.
On a related note, my wife just pointed out that Steely Dan will be in Vegas in August and asked me if we should go. I love Steely Dan, but I won’t do it. Either Becker or Fagen opened his mouth a few years back (Bush Derangement Syndrome) so I just can’t get myself to go.
Why can’t these losers just “Shut Up And Sing”?
Nobody is perfect.
So that the monarchy could not be restored.
Ping to Dave
From some of the titles on their most recent album, not exactly patriotic songs:
Yankee Bayonet (I Will Be Home Then) (duet with Laura Veirs) 4:18
When the War Came 5:06
Shankill Butchers 4:39
After the Bombs (iTunes bonus track) 5:04
Culling of the Fold (Tower Records bonus track) 4:24
Their tactics reminded me of the Romans in I Claudius. When they wanted to remove someone of prominence or power, they wiped out the whole family./Just Asking - seoul62.......
