TOPEKA | A bill requiring Kansas voters to show photo identification in 2010 elections was vetoed today by Gov. Kathleen Sebelius.
The measure HB 2019 was similar to a measure she threatened to veto during last years legislative session. Last years measure failed, but this years version passed through the efforts of the Republican majorities in the House and Senate. Sebelius is a Democrat.
In her veto message, the governor said the bill created a roadblock that prevents citizens from voting.
Additionally, no elected official should support enacting new laws discouraging or disenfranchising any American who has been legally voting for years, she wrote.

In her veto message, the governor said the bill created a roadblock that prevents citizens illegal immigrants from voting. I just had to fix this so that it accurately reflected the Gov's thoughts as opposed to her official BS.

She's a RAT. They want everyone to vote...dead, illegal aliens and family pets. As long as they vote for RATS.

The RATS know they can’t win without widespread voter fraud.

Kathy may have overreached on this one.

She's running for vice president pure and simple. The dems may need a woman on the ticket to compensate for the lingering anger within some womens’ groups who resent how Hillary has been treated by the MSM, the Obama campaign and other dem officials. Go for it Barry, I can't think of a weaker vp candidate than her. One more point, remember the tornados that caused heavy damage to several Kansas cities last year, remember how Sebelius tried to blame Bush for a supposed slow federal response? I do, and I remember how a normally compliant and sympathetic MSM refused to buy her line. Obama/Sebelius, I'm still laughing.

Since a voter ID won’t cost anyone anything, except possibly a little time, there is no disenfranchisement at all. And it wouldn’t take any time at all if folks can get it when they go into any Social Security office or Welfare office, or any any Department of Motor Vehicles. Most folks already have a photo ID with their driver’s licenses, so it will be a very small group of folks who will actually need to get one.

Kansas used to be full of such level-headed people.

The only people being disenfranchised are the real American citizens whose votes are being offset by the illegal votes from illegal aliens, and dead voters, and people who vote multiple times. Voter ID is a good step in the direction of preventing the disenfranchisement of the real citizens who follow the laws. Voter fraud is the best friend of the democrats who need the illegal vote in order to win elections.
