Pelosi is clueless: In a recent interview with CBS’s “60 Minutes,” House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, stated, “The jihadists (are) in Iraq. But that doesn’t mean we stay there. They’ll stay there as long as we’re there.”

A big part of the problem, snugs, I believe, is Wall Street driving expectations and all the MBAs running companies who have little interest in the quality of the product or the service but aim to satisfy the solons of the Street.

I worked for a company like that. It is now gone from the face of the earth.

Its very possible but when you put a billion workers in perspective out of a population of 1.3 billion vs. maybe 200 million here from a pop of 300 million plus 38 million illegals who work over here there are some staggering differences.

Right on! When is the meek, bumbling Boehner going to grow a spine and maybe two other things. When is he going to stand up for US REPUBLICANS and tell Bugeyes Piglousy where to go with her measley 149,000 strong voters from the freak capital(San Fran! of course for you people from Rio Linda) of the US?

I do believe he will continue to fight to win the war in Iraq, but what about his idea of closing Gitmo, and not allowing ‘waterboarding’?

Dodd’s ignorance is overwhelming!

1-Iran is a terrorist state with a leadership who WELCOMES their own destruction because they believe it presages the coming of the 12th imam.

YOU CAN’T NEGOTIATE WITH TERROISTS BENT ON SELF DESTRUCTION!

2-The energy crisis is the result of liberal policies;
- obstructing nuclear power, domestic drilling, domestic low sulpher coal mining, additional refinery capacity, etc.
- promoting cost inefficient programs;
- food as fuel, solar power, wind power,
- THE “GLOBAL WARMING” LIE!!

3-Tax policy that admits LOWER TAXES INCREASE GOVERNMENT INCOME, ....but we need to punish the rich because it makes the poor and middle feel better.

Can the Republicans ditch McQueeg and make Sen. Kyl their presidential nominee?

I suspect the losses in China are also down to technology improvements.

Most of the goods we now import from China are made by the same method that high tech firms in Britain would be doing if indeed they were still manufacturing. The big difference now is in many cases is not how the goods are manufactured but the quality of the material they are produced with and of course the cheaper labour which still makes them cheaper to produce and in and ship from China even though we now have to pay duty on goods from China. We used to get them duty free because China was considered underdeveloped third world country but now with entry to the WTO they had to accept their goods would now incur duty.

However as China is progressing economically so are the labour rates going up as the individuals in China are wanting more RMB for their work and becoming more materialistic themselves.

This is making the Chinese companies employ more automated procedures more high tech equipment and employing less people.

All true, and all need repeating over and over until voters get it.

It never ceases to amaze me how people like Dodd can use class envy to promote thier positions. Punishing people who make money is NOT the American way nor the way we grow and expand as a country. I’m still waiting for anyone in the MSM to ask these people “What gives you the right, and why are you punishing success?”

We never went in the crowds were too large and we only had a couple of days in Boston and wanted to visit other places such as the various museums and aquarium which we preferred to spend the time on rather than queing to go and see the insides of bar albeit a famous one :o).

By the way I thought Boston was highly overrated and much more enjoyed my time traveling through New England, Vermont and New York State. Niagara was incredible.

Me soaked after crossing on the Maid of Mist

"His faults are long and numerous...but he does believe in continuing the fight in the single most important arena of the 21st century.

He won’t run from the one fight that affects EVERYTHING else going on in the world today."

Yes, something to which those that cannot see past the end of their ideology are completely blind.

Maid of the Mist, I remember that from many years ago.
I was a young ThreePutter at the time, but the fond
memories are still there. Thanks for the picture.

I'd make mention of a wet tee shirt contest, but that
might not be acceptable...LOL

More.....

Following Democrat logic, if it's okay to remove the Bush tax cuts which helped everyone and increase taxes on the wealthy, is it not logical that Democrats should also favor putting a salary cap on athletes salaries, Hollywood celebrities salaries and family fortunes such as the Kennedy's? If not, why not?

The only conservative Contract w/America we had this year was Send the Mexicans back to Mexico and jail all the Farmers. Not exactly Reaganesque. Only accepted by 10% of Conservatives and nobody else.

Re: your post 78: I think the answer is term limits, in order to allow newly-elected officials to focus on getting something useful done before they are maxed out. The current system in congress lets people like Ted Kennedy, Robert Byrd, John McCain, just keep going and going.

We have to treat election like it really is; an opportunity to throw the old bums out, and throw some new bums in.

Too bad we didn’t have a Free Press that would ask about Tax Cuts for the Rich, why the Tax Revenue went up after that tax cut?? If Dems were consistant they would want more Revenue and more tax cuts.

That is in no way an endorsement for InSain, its just that he may be a better candidate/politician than people are giving him credit. Most are expecting Black Oblack in a rout and for good reason.
