Well, no full accounting for our men MIA, but least we have normalized relations with Vietnam... * *
July 11, 1995, Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., (right), and Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., (center),
gave President Bill Clinton, (left), the valuable political cover he needed to remove the U.S.
imposed trade embargo against communist Vietnam. All major U.S. veterans organizations,
the two POW/MIA family groups, and the majority of Vietnamese Americans in this country
opposed Clinton's lifting of the embargo.
Didn't their service, POW status, torture and devotion to duty deserve as much respect as John's? Evidently not.
We still don't have a full accounting for men a number of whom were seen alive by other POWs after shoot down or incarceration.

I also understand that if we leave Iraq, it will undermine our credibility, weaken our deterrence of the enemy, and place us at much greater risk for future attacks. If I have to put up with McCain in order to prevent that, so be it.
They will ALL come to pass if the Mistake which the Republicans Chose, John McCain, enters the White House.
I agree.
Thanks for the comments Rockitz. It’s interesting to see folks come here and trash folks like us for voicing what is in our hearts.
I have voted for every RINO in my life. And now I’m dilusional because I won’t do it any longer.
There was a line I was unwilling to cross, and John McCain drew it. I’m sure your thoughts run along the same lines.
I appreciate you voicing that take on things.
Absolutely !!!
Well. Sorta. Kinda.
You've got to be a bit of an outrider to be able to marvel at the view.
But a fair enough observation, nonetheless.
As Commander in Chief, Obama doesn't need Congressional approval to withdraw troops. He has already said this is the first thing he will do and he is not planning on listening to the Generals.
I actually passed over these comments by you. Then it dawned on me that all I had to do to avoid this type of comment, was to have labeled this a Pray for McCain thread or a McCain Day in Pictures thread.
You’ll have to forgive me. I’ve only been here a decade and I haven’t quite learned everything yet.
Yep, the herd only runs on the side of those who oppose McCain huh. rotflmao
You cannot beat a liberal, when it liberal leading your cause.
Can’t you understand that simple premise.
;)
I believe that McCain will damage Conservatism almost fatally. I do happen to believe that Conservatism is the best ideology for the United States, so I’m not going to support him doing it.
Now you may have a valid point here, I'll give you that. The problem with this is you have to assume McLame will be able to pass more liberal legislation than Obama will. If this is true you will also have to assume that these same RINOs will not vote for more said liberal policies in the name of bi-partisanship if Obama was in power. I don't think it will happen the way you say it will here, but I'm not saying I don't have my doubts. I agree with you that this is not acceptable Republican behavior, my friend. I think you are a principled man, and you hate to see what is going on in the GOP. I wish more congressmen where like you in that regard.
Now wait a minute. Isn’t this the same McCain that lead out for Conservatism in the Reagan years? (And here I thought it was Reagan that did, silly me)
Thanks CalCowGirl. I love it when you remind us of stuff like that.
Hey, you don't even have to voice what's in your heart. I gave my opinion on what would happen in the election without trashing McCain or supporting anyone else, and I was told to "stop bitching". (and to "act like a man", lol) Classy.
Can’t get behind the guy? Cause he doesn’t match every one of your positions? Grow up just a little. Why don’t you vote for Obama instead then?
I think that your reference is from the Book of John when Nathaniel is greeted with news of the Messiah being found, and that He is from Nazareth.
PS... I think McCain is a real jerkoid when it comes to his Q&A forums with Americans.
See McCain harshly denigrate people for questioning his judgment on immigration:

Hal are you aware that McCain actually had two or three different stances on troop levels in Iraq? He has basically bracketed Bush with policy differences since 2000. Then he comes off as being the first guy who proposed anything that happens.
I don’t trust him bud. If you want to, you’re a big guy. Go ahead. I’m not going to rag on you for doing it.
I can’t.
Actually, it is the moderates and McCain/Kennedy-wing of the Republican Party that are the defeatists. They don't believe in the platform, instead embracing liberal policies of their opponents in an effort to win. Pandering to the liberals of La Raza, embracing the UN wealth-redistribution scheme of global warming, weakening our country's sovereignty through LOST, and on and on and on. These weak RINO politicians have no backbone--no core. Instead, they are willing to capitulate on any principle and jettison the entire Republican Platform in their quest for power.
The zombies who will vote for anything with an (R) next to their name will follow these so-called "leaders" right off the same cliff that the Democrats want to take us. And the zombies will run around and bad-mouth anyone who actually stands for what they believe in while iterating liberal talking points.
Are you aware that both Obama and Clinton have stated that they can’t actually pull troops out immediately? Well, they have and in the last six weeks.
