Illegal immigrants not only harm the environment, but keep our law enforcement/DNR Agencies busy. Jim Robinson is a hero and we all owe him a lot. Illegal immigration effects us all including rural midwest farm country.

Very few Americans know the seriousness of fishing laws: one can have their vehicle confiscated and auctioned off for catching and keeping one fish that is of an illegal size.
These guys were illegals and had no idea what they were doing was illegal. They’ll be deported for this, while illegals that feed themselves by robbing and killing people will be put back out on the street.

Reminds me of a favorite “Far Side” cartoon:
2 guys in a boat, on a lake, fishing, when a mushroom cloud appears on the horizon.
One says to the other:
“You know what this means?”
“Screw the limit!”

An ad placed by Ireland’s tourist authority in a German news magazine described how the Irish catch fish:
The fisherman throws hunks of bread soaked in beer into the water, and the fish eat them. Then, all he has to do is scoop ut the intoxicated fish with a net.

“DNR officials accuse the three men of illegally tying fishing lines to empty beer cans, then dragging the cans with the catch to shore. Authorities seized the trout, illegal fishing lines, rods and reels, beer and a van with Wisconsin license plates.”
But yet, the government has seen fit to cut off all salmon fishing for US citizens on the west coast. The irony is thick enough to wall up that entire border.

Indeed. In the Pac. N.W, our sheriffs spend all their time busting armed Mexican drug cartels growing dope in our national parks and forests. It’s destroying the habitat. Homeland security says it isn’t their problem.

Hmmmmm... Catching
trout with beer cans is a new one on me.
OTOH, when I was a kid, one of our best methods for catching crawfish was to toss a bunch of cans (with one end cut open) into the water. Crawdads soon took refuge in the "caves", and all we had to do was scoop up the cans and dump the mudbugs into our bucket...
