“Paul got even louder applause as he delivered his message of individual freedom and fiscal responsibility.”
Bush and the big govt theocrats who run the GOP abhor that message. No surprise the state GOP reacted as it did.

That has got to be the lamest-ass excuse I've ever heard. No wonder he got booed.

It appears as though Operation Chaos is underway in the socialist Republican party. Hopefully the momentum to oust socialist McCain will grow big enough to prevent him from getting the nomination.

Wow, I hadn't really thought about that aspect. Hmmmm-mm... but can Ron Paul really capture the support of a bigger fraction of the GOP base than McCain?

Hmmm.....maybe the convention was shut down early because of the possibility of a major earthquake in the Reno area? sarc/
Ironically, a political earthquake is about to hit BOTH major political parties in the U.S. of A.

If it weren’t for Paul’s disastrous and idiotic notion to immediately admit defeat to the international mass murderers by running out of Iraq, I could really support him.

That really IS a conundrum.
Do we want McCain, who is right on the War, but wrong on almost everything else?
Or do we want Paul, who is wrong on the War, but right on almost everything else?

"I've seen factions walk out. I've never seen a party walk out," said Jeff Greenspan, regional coordinator for the Paul campaign. The Democrats did it twice in 1860.

The only thing that keeps me from being a Ron Paul supporter is the bizarre view he takes of defending the country. I understand the whole concept of ‘if we had just stayed home no one would ever bother us’, but that doesn’t match with the reality I see. When I heard he had said that the US hasn’t been in a justified war for 200 years, well, that was it for me. The British invaded Baltimore and he doesn’t think we should have fought back? All his other views though, on private property, individual freedom, small government, etc I’m completely on board with.

As much as I dislike what Paul has become (at least his anti-war stance), it pleases me to see anyone give the Republican Party, the party led by the likes of John McCain, grief.
Thank you Paul delegates. Give them hell! Come convention time, I hope you have made a great noise loud and clear.
I do not support trash like this for President. Anything that makes it clear there is unprecidented rebellion in the Republican ranks is fine with me.

Or do we want Paul, who is wrong on the War, but right on almost everything else? Well, if Paul's wrong on the war our enemies will demonstrate the fact with one of their patented attention-getting steps. After which, Paul will be right on that, too.

The Ron Paul supports signs around Raleigh always make me think the folks putting these slogans together remember all too well their acid-head days. When I'm feeling more charitable? Reminds me of the advertising campaign for Hank's "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" - which I found rather clever.
Herein lies the slice on Ron Paul: You really like him or you don't.
