Obama says no debates with Clinton between now and Indiana

WASHINGTON (AP) — Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama on Sunday brushed aside a challenge from Hillary Rodham Clinton to debate before the May 6 primaries in Indiana and North Carolina.

On Saturday, Clinton said she wants Obama to face off with her in a debate without a moderator, Lincoln-Douglas style.

"I'm not ducking. We've had 21" debates, Obama said on "Fox News Sunday."

"For two weeks, two big states, we want to make sure we're talking to as many voters on the ground, taking questions from voters," he said. "We're not going to have debates between now and Indiana."

The more open style of debating where each side presents an argument gets its name from the famed debates that took place during the 1858 U.S. Senate race in Illinois between Republican Abraham Lincoln and Democrat Stephen Douglas.

Trailing in delegates and the popular vote, Clinton has been stepping up the pressure on Obama for more debates in advance of primaries on May 6 in Indiana and North Carolina.

Oh, he’s ducking! Hillary has found his weakness and will exploit his inability to answer unstaged questions.

I don’t blame him. He looked so pathetic in the last one that he was exposed to being in way over his head.

Hillary thumped his arse.

No, Barry. You're not ducking. You're chicken. You don't want to take the chance that the 22nd debate will be like the 21st (and unlike the all the rest) and put you on the spot.

The frontrunner has, psychologically or tactically, no need to enter into debates. It is the CHALLENGER who wants and needs the debate.

It is just a little hard here to see who is challenger, and who is frontrunner. Apparently, perception is everything.

Obama is running scared now, as his rhetoric is running on empty.
And he may not be running at all pretty soon.

"I'm not ducking. We've had 21" debates, Obama

It may look like a duck, sound like a duck, and walk like a duck, but it's really a CHICKEN. There may have been 21 debates, but up until the last one, they've all been useless, boring time-wasters about who wants to lose in Iraq first and who will raise taxes more. It's only the last one that got people's attention because it was about character and judgment.

It looks to me like Hillary is emerging as the winner.
10 points in the must-win state of Pennsylvania?
Doesn’t look good for Barack.
Now that Democrats are figuring out that he can’t win where he needs to, they are going to reject him at the polls.

Stop asking me all those annoying questions about ANYTHING!

Shut up and let me enjoy my delicious waffles.

He's a loser in the general anyway you cut it, so it doesn't really matter.

The only drawback is the entertainment factor will be missed by we puff the magic negro, and criminal Clinton despising types.

So much for "audacity." Well, there's always "hope," I suppose. As in, "I hope the American people are stupid enough not to pay attention."
