In his upcoming biography of Jesus, "Basic Instinct" director Paul Verhoeven will say that Jesus was probably the son of Mary and a Roman soldier who raped her during the Jewish uprising in Galilee, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Verhoeven also claims that Christ was not betrayed by Judas Iscariot.

The goal is to show that some things are not really important and that hurting some peoples feelings is okay, as long as they aren’t liberals or Muslims.

Coward. Let’s see him make a movie trashing Islam, if he’s a real man. Of course, he’s not. He only hits those who don’t hit back.

It’s a good thing for this douche that Christians, unlike our Islamic bretheren, do not take heads when our icons are insulted.

I haven't read through all the responses, but I believe this was a fairly common rumor during Christ's lifetime. Most of the accounts I read didn't mention a rape, but it was known that Mary was pregnant upon her betrothal to Joseph, and that Joseph was not Christ's father.
There's a somewhat veiled reference to it in Scripture, when a man calls Jesus the son of Mary. The Jews always referred to themselves as the "Sons of Abraham," not the sons of Sarah, and referred to an individual as the son of his father. The reference to Jesus as the son of Mary was equivalent to saying, "hey, you, the guy who doesn't know who his real daddy is."
I believe that Jesus was the Christ, the Son of God who came to earth in human form. However, this rumor did exist during his lifetime.

"I ask Verhoeven if he believes in the Resurrection. "I believe in the Resurrection of the Word," he says. "I believe the disciples felt that Jesus was with them again. The [story of the] fingers in the wound I doubt, but I think the disciples felt a strong force around them, though the Church has postulated Jesus resurrected in body and came back. The Jesus Seminar has clearly stated that Jesus was buried and his body was decomposed." Raised a Catholic, I'd been trained to believe that Jesus went to the cross in measured steps, fully aware of where he was heading. But after reading histories of the bureaucratic hot-potato game the various Judean authorities played with the case of Jesus, the Crucifixion seems more like a ghastly mistake on behalf of three parties: the Romans, the Jews, and Jesus himself.
"The Jesus Seminar describes it as 'a car accident,'" Verhoeven says. "My guess is that Jesus was a Jewish cynic, witty and sharp, but then he had a change of mind and believed that the Kingdom of God was approaching. Remember that he was crucified for being king of the Jews, as a crown pretender...
Perhaps if he'd quit making things up in his own mind and read the scriptures he would come to the truth. But then that would be
sola scriptura.
