Carter's comments came after he met with the top Hamas leaders last week in Syria.
Carter also says Hamas won't undermine Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas' efforts to reach a peace deal with Israel. He says Hamas is ready to accept a Palestinian state in the West Bank and Gaza.
Carter made the comments during a speech in Jerusalem.

Well, in Carterville, Jimmy believes his loss can be laid at the feet of New York Jews, who voted against him in the New York primary, giving Ted Kennedy a fighting chance to win the nomination. Jimmy believes it was this fight that caused him to be so damaged that he could not win the general election.
Jimmy is so delusional that this is truly his thinking. Your list of very real issues has very little to do with it. Amazing, isn't it?

"Jimmy believes it was this fight that caused him to be so damaged that he could not win the general election."He epitomizes the brain-dead bitterness, bigotry, arrogance and perversity of the "progressive" mindset.

Wow, Carter is stretching the truth beyond all recognition. Evidently, a limited "truce" of only 10 years and a refusal to formally recognize Israel, all in exchange for Israel giving up large parts of its capital city and withdrawing to within indefensible borders, constitutes "acceptance of Israel as a neighbor" in Carter's eyes.
That's nothing but propagandizing on behalf of a terrorist organization sworn to destroy one of our allies. That may not technically be treason, but he's getting close enough that Sue Myrick's proposal to revoke his passport ought to receive serious consideration.

the truly greatest threat to our security are the neocons, who want us to intervene everywhere and who dont learn from history that spreading democracy by force (nation building) creates blowback and will eventually bankrupt us.
Adams's words are wise, but there were national security reasons for us to invade Iraq. Reading "neo-con" Douglas Feith, it wasn't Rumsfeld's intentions to build democracy, but the State Dep't took over.

The only way Jimmy Carter could be any more useful to the terrorist is if he strapped on a bomb and walked into a synagog.

“Adams’s words are wise, but there were national security reasons for us to invade Iraq.”
What national security reasons?
To: tabsternager
What is your point?
Carter is undermining the sovereignty of another country in pursuit of leftist internationalism. If you were not so spiteful of Israel base on your neocon=Israel theory, you would not be going against your purported principles.

Has it ever been more fitting, that a news report came from Yahoo news? Carter is perhaps one of the premier yahoos (certainly from the U.S. at least) in human history.

Peace is overrated.
Israel should make this known:
Peace is not the goal. The continued survival of Israel is the goal. Peace is an acceptable by-product of this goal, but not a requirement.

Not to mention the fiasco in the desert sandstorm, incompetently micromanaged from afar by einstein himself, leading to the deaths of American troops and the humiliation of the nation in the eyes of the entire world.
