Prospects of Democratic candidate, Hillary Clinton winning the US Presidential nomination have turned grimmer and dimmer with bad news breaking by the day. On Thursday, former President, Jimmy Carter drove a dagger through the heart of her campaign by indicating he would be supporting rival Barack Obama, even as African-American challenger outdid her famous fundraising ability by two to one, taking in $40 million in contributions to her $20 million in March, but her campaign received a big blow when Carter confirmed that his heart is with Obama.

Carter declared that he will cast his vote as a super-delegate in favour of the young senator. Carter is a super delegate and therefore could not disclose his choice but his comments left little to imagine and he surely sent the message that he was with Obama.

I voted for this incompetent jerk and was so glad when he left office.

Unfortunately he is like that old SNL skit "the thing that wouldn't leave"!

It only stands to reason that Jimmuh Cahtah would vote for the communist Islamo- fascist.

This was very predictable. He's always sold out America to Islam.

“Carter is a super delegate and therefore could not disclose his choice”

I don’t get this comment. I thought lots of superdelegates have stated how they plan to vote. Hasn’t Dean even been encouraging them to do so?

How does Jimmy Carter voting for Obama make Hillary’s prospects “dimmer”? Is Carter that powerful within the Party?

I guess Carter didn’t feel he had done quite enough damage to the United States himself and hopes now for someone to finish us off.
