Arrant n nonsense. Willie Apiata VC was awarded his just before Christmas last year. He is very, very much alive.
Charles Upham VC with Bar was awarded the Victoria Cross TWICE in WW-II and lived to tell the tale. He died in the early 1990’s.

Yeah I get it . You are a collectivist/socialist/liberal. You want me to sacrifice myself or my life for the common good of the country. Well I refuse to sacrifice myself for others or the country. I live for myself and I don’t care about you just like you don’t care what happens to me. I don’t want anybody to care for me or about me.
I laugh in the face of morons who beg for money and ask for contributions to charity.
I have the right to pursue happiness and that doesn't include sacrificing my life for anyone else or the common good.
