“I said that dirty word again, Israel.” This was one of the many disparaging remarks Obama’s pastor Jeremiah Wright made about Israel. According to Wright, Israel is occupying Arab land and has no right to its existence. He eliminates the legitimacy of the Jewish state of Israel in one speech; then he compounds the injury by usurping the Jewish historical ties to the land.
In Barack Obama’s apologia for Reverend Wright on March 18, the senator recounted his first service at Trinity church.
“People began to shout, to rise from their seats and clap and cry out, a forceful wind carrying the reverend’s voice up into the rafters….And in that single note – hope!...I imagined the stories of ordinary black people merging with the stories of David and Goliath, Moses and Pharaoh, the Christians in the lion’s den, Ezekiel’s field of dry bones. Those stories – of survival, and freedom, and hope – became our story, my story; the blood that had spilled was our blood, the tears our tears; until this black church, on this bright day, seemed once more a vessel carrying the story of a people into future generations and into a larger world...Our trials and triumphs became at once unique and universal, black and more than black; in chronicling our journey, the stories and songs gave us a means to reclaim memories that we didn’t need to feel shame about…memories."

This must be Chicago Style Black Liberation Theology, even as practiced by The Reverend Jesse Jackson, whose legitimate half-brother ran the Blackstone Rangers, aka al-rukyn, a really bad bunch of Black Muslim-inspired (at least) gangstas who act(ed) as Jesse's shakedown enforcers.
Certainly Wright's wrongo rant followed the Calypso Louie party line very closely. OTOH, I wouldn't raise much of an eyebrow at the Muslim caller ... any pastor on a recruiting drive would tell a guy like that to drop by, train him for a year or so and then accept him "into the Church."
Those of us linked to some of the ancient orthodoxies would be surprised indeed at what goes on on the fringe. 'Pastors" in an outfit called ... no kiddin' ... The Church of God... receive part of their compensation package for the number of new members ... who, btw, can be Muslims, because according to this "Church" Jesus, Muhammed, Moses, and Bhudda were all really nice guys!

He had this preacher on his campaign until last week..knowing full well what the man preaches. He is a member of the church...and continues to be a member. This is not only what the church thinks and feels, it is what Obama thinks and feels. Don’t be fooled.
Geez, George Bush just spoke at Bob Jones’ school and was raked over the coals for it. Libs still bring it up. Bush wasn’t a tithing member of the church or anything...jut spoke.
The big thing libs griped about was the Jones forbid interracial dating. What do you bet that Wright does too?! Anybody know the position of the church on that point?

It's not that they are "brown", or "white", or "black" or East Asian in appearance ~ rather, they have recently gotten into the practice of overtly rejecting and resisting totalitarianism.
Neither the Rev. Wright nor the Palestinians, or most Arabs, reject totalitarianism. It seems a normal way of life to them.
Actually, there are a great many Ethiopian Jews and Jews from Middle Eastern countries living in Israel.
IOW, Black Liberation Theology is essentially no different than Black Muslimism.

How ironic, though, because the Israelis are often brown-sugar colored, including some blood relatives of mine, and I am pure ashkenazi (eastern european). In fact, a great many Israelis speak Arabic in the home, because they originally come from Morocco, Yemen, Iraq and Syria. Unlike the neighboring Arab countries, Israel welcomed its refugees and assimilated them into Israeli society at great cost. The Palistinian “refugees,” however, have been confined to refugee camps for generations, based on a venal promise to bring them back to “Palistein” when it has been “liberated” from the Jews.

I know an Israeli whose father came from the small but ancient Chinese Jewish community. He looked somewhat asiatic, but with definite Jewish features. My own Israeli cousins have dark, olive complexions, although both sides of their family tree are from eastern and central Europe. Sometimes I suspect that something in our genetic makeup enables us to change complexion like chamelions, but only after one or more generations have passed.
Good point. I think there's no difference between either of them and Marxism, either. They're all rationalizations for wielding power and control over others by force of arms.
