The worm has certainly turned when Bill Clinton's former press secretary goes on a local TV show and in so many words calls Hillary a b---- . . . and a national news show then chooses to air the footage. It happened on today's Good Morning America in the course of a conversation that co-anchor Robin Roberts conducted with Cokie Roberts and Matt Dowd.
ROBIN ROBERTS: Many are wondering how far she can go in attacking Barack Obama. Even President Clinton's former press secretary Dee Dee Myers made a comment about it being harder for a woman to walk that fine line. This is what she said.
Cut to clip of Myers in a recent appearance on NY1, the NYC cable news channel.
DEE DEE MYERS: I think so many women in positions of authority -- and she's certainly one of them -- have to walk that fine line between being authoratative and being a bitch [worded bleeped during GMA airing]. And she you know, she hasn't always succeeded. I think it's hard for a woman to succeed.

Dee Dee no Hillary fan ping to Today show list.
Dee Dee better hope Hillary doesn’t have her FBI files. Plus she may be facing IRS audits for the rest of her life.
I always wondered the story behind Dee Dee’s drinking and the exit from the White House.
You scared me, gov! Saw the headline, thought you were quoting Harriet Miers!
“I think it’s hard for a woman ...
whose voice sounds like the ‘Mars Attacks’ ‘Ack Ack Ack’
... to succeed”
It has been said that Hillary lit into Dee Dee upon occasion, bigtime, so there is probably no love lost. It is rumored Hillary’s temper is a nasty biting one.
Enough already about the Clintons and their “FBI files.” The Clintons are a lot of things including nasty, despicable, liars, immoral, etc., but the notion that they are blackmailing thousands of people with “FBI files” is ridiculous. If they were, some of their victims would have come forward by now.
for the record Bill hit on Dee Dee in his 1st term

There is the idea that assertive men and assertive women are perceived differently. I don't think so. I think men and women are "assertive" differently. Women, frankly, rarely know how to do it well.
There was a reason that women were the overwhelming defendents in witch trial cases.
Women tend to be more vindictive and punative than men, in general,
and it often comes through in their “assertiveness” style.
It is possible to be authoritative and assertive without being demeaning, and I think men are better at this than women, especially those who think they have to prove something.
I was discussing the difference between confidence and arrogance with someone the other day. The difference is
“I know what I’m doing”
vs
“I know what I’m doing BETTER THAN YOU”
“I think it’s hard for a woman to succeed.”
Note to DeeDee: Really? Condi Rice? Sandra Day O’Connor? Kay Bailey Hutchison? Christine Todd Whitman? Star Jones? Oprah Winfrey? Did you not have a highly-paid job in the White House? Need I go on? It is not the fact that Hillary is a woman - she has too many major problems and is perceived as being a b and is a hard-core socialist. It is more fair to say that “I think it’s hard for anyone who is a b and a socialist to succeed.”
Bitch is the new black. Tina Fey said so.
What’s so special about Obama? Since when did politicians NOT attack one another? Are they afraid he’s gonna cry if he gets his panties twisted?
Nice explanation of the difference in the two terms.
Congratulations Dee Dee. It’s rare to find an American who knows to use emphasis by understatement
FOFLOL, good one!
