It is clear that the woman gazing out from the cover of Newsweek magazine has a message for anyone caring to glance at the news stand.
Yes, Michelle Obama is a glamorous lawyer with a big salary, a bigger house and a husband with one hand on the Presidency, but never forget that this is also the little black girl from Chicago who overcame the odds to change the face of American politics.

Millions of white — or, as Mrs. Obama writes, “White” — Americans would love to have had the breaks Mrs. Obama had, and resent the fact that they didn’t have them because they don’t belong to a designated victim group. They resent the ease with which two beneficiaries of those breaks can parlay their victim status into two six-digit salaries and a seven-digit house, without ever doing any kind of work that adds to the nation’s wealth or security. And they especially resent that people who have attained those heights of success, with the assistance of those breaks, seem to nurse nothing but hostile emotions towards the country that made it possible for them.”
I've got live links to the .PDF, if you want to read Mrs. Obama's whiny, pretentious, unscholarly, politically obsessed thesis. To tell you the truth, I couldn't read very much of it; it was too boring.

Geez Louise! I was there, too ('73-'77). There were certainly some of those (and boy were they a pain), but the vast majority were from middle class families more or less like Mrs. Obama's . . . whose parents had to scrimp and save to pay the outrageous tuition. There just aren't enough wealthy families to go around to fill out all the student bodies of all the Ivies, let alone Princeton which is still sort of the poor cousin, the 'most Southern of the Ivies'.
She's had a chip on her shoulder from the git-go. And for no good reason.
“Then she arrives at Princeton and discovers that she’s not so special, that there’s lots of people there that are so much smarter than her that she can’t open her mouth in front of them for fear of being seen as an idiot. She realizes that, to many of her peers there, she’s just an Affirmative Action token. What a disapointment, she enters college thinking she’s all that an ends up being a no body. Sounds like she needs a trip to the shrink because she has a problem not America . But if she ever reaches the point where she does wield some power, watch out! This is one angry black women. Some advise: be mad at yourself for thinking you were all that!

Her body language while speaking is antagonistic—she drops her shin and cuts her eyes sideways and up. Make you think of an angry cat?

I always wonder WHY the chip on the shoulder with SO MANY ADVANTAGES than even WHITES didn’t have?
You would think that chip would fall of her shoulder and she’d thrive in accomplishment not associated with skin color. I don’t understand why that didn’t happen to her and other BLACK racists.

Michele is an angry black woman that sees whites as racists. I do not think a truly even tempered, non racist man could live with someone so different than his rhetoric would indicate.
Just what does a “Vice President for Community and External Affairs at University of Chicago Hospitals” do to earn $300K/year?
How many people does she help heal in exchange for a salary roughly 50-60% greater than the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff - who, after all, only supervises roughly 1.4 million active duty people?
