You near Area 51? That's down near Rachel, NV, about 100 miles north of Vegas. Made a trip to Rachel back in '05. Cool place, had dinner at the Little A'Le'Inn. You can drive to the gate, but no farther. It's a 3-mile gravel road off the highway. This is what you see near the gate:

There’s a name for the geologic province in Nevada, Block and Thrust with lots of faults. Someone please correct me if that’s wrong. It’s been a looong time since I studied that stuff.

"Nevada is stretching apart, and there are numerous North-South faults (on the edges of each moutain range). "I thought it was Bush's fault?

I'm not just discussing earthquakes. I'm talking the totality of what could be referred to as end time prophetic events. Only
one of those factors would include seismic activity. Another would include events like school shootings. In the 1990s we had them at the rate of about 1 per year maybe. Now they're coming much more frequently. This might be perceived as a "lifting away" of God's protective hand on the earth in a preparation for the series of events that will lead to the rise of the Anti Christ and the rapture of the church.
I'm not alone in this belief, especially here on FR, I assure you. I also post it as one theoretical possibility not "set in stone" fact. IMHO, this is what these events mean when it comes to matching cataclysmic events (natural and man made) that have global impact when taken together in light of Bible prophesy. MY opinion. You don't get to come out and say that it's utterly false. However, I'm certain you are referring to a misperception that I was referring to earthquake activity alone. Right? I don't know a damn thing about earthquakes except that I'm glad I don't live in a state where they're common (FL). Are they more likely to occur in North Carolina? I dunno, but that's where we're moving when we retire in a few years.

There is nothing to see in the Northern part of the State. It is trackless miles of nothing. Just stay on 80 and pass through. Also please deposit a minimum of $400 in any of the convenient casinos. We thank you for passing through Northern Nevada. Only stop for food gas and gaming.

There are lava flows all around Pocatello. This is the first earthquake that I've felt in the area since moving here in 2000. The 6.3 in El Centro was much more noticeable in San Diego than this one was.

Mankind has been violent for tens of thousands of years and there's been no increase in the rate of that, either.

People in the main office where I work in Boise ID felt it, but us few in the data center (other side of a wall) didn’t. We had no clue till someone came in and said “did you feel the earthquake?”

Oh, the ground shakes here from time to time. It just isn't caused by earthquakes.I actually had that same problem in NV once upon a time...use to rattle all the nicknacks off of the shelves...when we lived by the NAS range in Fallon. But then, they weren't shooting them directly at us. I don't think I'd want to be a target. Stay safe.

Only stop for food gas and gaming. I think that's an even better motto than "Battle Born"!

There is nothing to see in the Northern part of the State. It is trackless miles of nothing. Heck you want to try trackless miles of nothing, go on "The Loneliest Road in America". My wife and I drove it from the NV/CA border to the NV/UT border; I've got the certificate to prove it! :-)

Bush’s fault.
Probably caused by the expansion of the earth’s crust, as a result of global warming.
