Huckster's line about the McCain-Huckabee ticket working for 20 odd years (because his wife's maiden name is McCain) makes me hurl every time.

I believe Rice is the only one whom very many Americans know by name or sight. Freepers know who the others are of course, but not the average detached folk.

McCain really ought to pick a conservative for his veep.
It would balance out the ticket.

Hey, I hate that Huck line, too.
Crist...(gag)...Pansy...(gag)...Juan should choose and choose wisely.

I’ve heard whispered that Matt Blunt, Missouri’s Governor, might be considered. Young, conservative, and having Roy Blunt as your dad...lol

Out of that list, Jindal or Sanford would be great. Lindsey Graham would be the death of the ticket.

Every time he opens his mouth I feel the same way.
I remember Mike Huckabee and this borg running for President bears no resemblance to the real Mike Huckabee.

Well, if Hillary gets the nomination, McCain could (as his buddy Kerry was rumored to have done) offer the VP slot to a prominent member of the other party. Sen. Obama, for example ;-)

Florida Gov. Charlie Crist: Popular governor who helped deliver Florida in the primary, could help deliver it in the general election.Lovely. Just imagine "Toe Tappin' Charlie" Crist just a drum solo away from all those White House interns. Not the ladies, either...
McCain would do it, too.
We have Charlie Crist rated at "Guarded - but not fooling anyone"

I think he needs somebody with strong executive experience, because other than the senate office, has McCain got any? Huckabee would bring 11 years of executive experience. Jindal doesn't have enough, unless he has private sector.

Of this list, the only ones I’d even consider voting for are Jindal and Pence. Most of them are horrible losers.

Sarah Palin, Janice Rogers Brown, J.C. Watts, Fred Thompson, Mitt Romney, Duncan Hunter, Herman Cain, Tom McClintock, Pat Sajak, Jeff Bezos, Michael Steele, and John Bolton would all make decent V.P. choices if they seriously really want the position, but John McCain, himself, truly needs to do a lot of things that he really doesn’t want to do if he’s seriously going to win over the majority of conservative voters by November 4. I truly don’t see how the next POTUS as well as the next Congress isn’t overwhelmingly Democratic as well as being overwhelmingly leftist.

Jindal has not even been Governor for a month! Not until tomorrow, will it have been a month. He is not going to be chosen as McCain’s VP.
