I believe Rice is the only one whom very many Americans know by name or sight. Freepers know who the others are of course, but not the average detached folk.
Unfortunately, McCain will need the support of either the anti-black or anti-women voters to win. Most of those will be cross overs from the Dem party or "independents."
It disgusts me that their vote would be needed, but that looks to be the only way that a weak McCain will get a victory.
