I call myself a 9/13 Republican. I grew up a liberal New York Jew; you don't get much more liberal than that--although it was lower-case "l," not what's considered Liberal today. I graduated from high school knowing only one thing about politics: that Democrats are good and Republicans are evil.
I tell a story. It's not a true story, but it helps crystallize my thinking that brought me to become a conservative. I say: Imagine being in a restaurant with an old friend, and you're catching up, and suddenly he blurts out, "I hate my wife." You chuckle to yourself because he says it every time you're together, and you know he doesn't hate his wife; they've been together for 35 years. He loves his daughters, and they're just like her. No, he doesn't hate his wife.
So you're having dinner, and you look out the window and spot his wife, and she's being beaten up right outside the restaurant. You grab your friend and say, "Come on, let's help her. Let's help your wife," and he says, "Nah, I'm sure she deserves it." At that moment, it dawns on you: He really does hate his wife.
That's what 9/11 was to me. For years and years I'd hear my friends from the Left say how evil and horrible and racist and imperialistic and oppressive America is, and I'd chuckle to myself and think, "Oh, they always say that; they love America." Then on 9/11, we were beaten up, and when I grabbed them by the collar, and I said, "Come on, let's help her. Let's help America," and they said, "Nah, she deserves it."
At that moment, I realized: They really do hate America.

In any case, imagine if D-Day had failed and Hitler had also been able to hold the line in the East. Not until we gor the A-bomb would we have forced Hitler to come to terms. Probably we would NOT have used it since our soldiers would not have been faced with horrific casualties, as we wouldn’t have tried another invasion. A Greater Germany would have survived the war and what happened to the Jews et al. would have become a state secret. Very different history.
Yes, and other liberals I knew at the time realized that it was not an inside job but that the clear evidence that we have enemies was going to set back their disarmment program until the public concern evaporated. Eventually the public will forget that we have enemies and they can go back to treating this as a minor police problem. Then back to spending the “peace dividend” to buy votes.
In all fairness, the whining of various Clintonistas about how the timing of the attack prevented THEIR guy from having a chance to prove his greatness seems to make it unlikely they knowingly helped it to happen.

I don’t even know if a centuries-long immersion into the deprivations of Islam will dislodge current Liberal thinking — some Liberals would definitely be drawn into Islam’s methods of power and control as they seek to impose their own within the Muslim framework.

Liberalism is a disease. Period. I mean these people are not right in the head. I mean psychologically damaged. Something is wrong with their brains...some bizarre ying-yang lunacy I can’t put a finger on!
Think about it:
1. ALL troops are nazis.
Why all the ghastly and insulting drivel from the left? From Heinz-Kerry to Shrillary to Murtha, truly think about what they’ve implied! Our troops are genocidal lying murderers in that order! Look at the language they use today: Occupation, concentration camps...they think they’re all the exact same! They see absolutely no difference in what our troops did in Abu-Graib and Bergen Belsen or Dachau! Much like Bush, Rumsfeld, Cheney are not a bit different than Hitler Goebbels and Mengele!
2. Cops are corrupt or bad or violent.
Why? They’re not only in a position of authority, but they’re violent people with guns, NO DIFFERENT than the thugs they hunt down. You can’t often tell the difference between undercover cops & thugs in hollyweird movies! Much like our troops from the bad guys I might add! It’s why Cynthia McKooky slapped the cop as opposed to thanking him for being there protecting her sorry @ss!
3. Same with superpowers...USSR, USA one and the same. Both Imperialistic.
4. Class warfare.
It couldnt be that irresponsible losers THEM are addled by drugs & promiscuity, why NO it’s because they don’t have the same RESOURCES! It’s why Edwards has gajillions of dollars and stupid GENUINELY poor people sit there for an hour clapping for HIM that made six figures just for acknowledging the ‘two Americas’ and not a damn thing more for that whole hour!
5. Religion!
I see bumper stickers that spell out “coexist” with different major religious symbols...you may have seen it: the “c” is a muslim crescent, the “t” a Christian cross, the “o” the Star of David and so on...it’s only peoples of faith that are lunatics! And THEY, the godless secular humanist left are the only ones who can SEE THAT!
There are other examples but you get the drift!
It’s why they’re so attracted to communism/marxism...no authority while completely blind to the fact that the elite few are in supreme authority over every aspect of their miserable lives!
Great idea and a good place to start...and in 30 years who knows...the moonbats will be forced to take THEIR dangerous poison to private schools and pay for THEIR idiocy!

The mounting evidence that modern cosmology is on the wrong track... that the universe is controlled not by gravity but by electric plasma physics, a force thirty-nine magnitudes greater than gravity.
The plasma physicists have been far more accurate in their predictions of events/observations than gravity cosmologists... such as the nature of comets and the results of our flybys and impact studies.
The Left explains Stalin’s atrocities, byt saying, if you can believe this, that those people DESERVED to die. 20 million people? They would love to do that to US here in the USA. Although “pacifists,” the Left has always been bloodmasters, and have gotten off on any kind of killing.

New Orleans has been poor despite decades of entitelments and hypocrat rule. Same for alot of inner city people, what have ANY hypocrats accomplished for them?
AND we don’t NEED or WANT the approval of the world! Not from Syria, Iran, North Korea, Algeria, Somalia, Sudan, Russia, China, Cuba, and indeed most of the world! WHY on earth WOULD we?
Moreover if Bush is so bad, why are all these people fighting to come HERE to be his subjects?
If they’re just too far over the edge and ignore all the facts and believe that Bush flew those planes into the WTC via remote control and Cheney has a weathergun on a sub under the Gulf of Mexico that harms and targets poor blacks in Nahluns...then I recommend that they get a psych eval;
and in the meantime try to avoid listening to people that try to convince them to snip their nuts off and kill themselves in order to catch a ride to heaven on a spaceship hiding in a comet tail BEFORE their psych eval!
I find it best to confront liberals with their idiocy and/or psychosis.

Not that they deserved to die but that it was necessary for them to die in order to save socialism in Russia or China or Vietnam or Cuba, whichever. Socialism is their religion, although it may take variant forms.
Their logic has always escaped me. Killing their OWN people to save socialism. Well Lenin, Stalin, et al, were known to have disdain for the Russian people. I tell LWers about their whole culture of death, and they just laugh. Actually they agree. When I tell them that their tactics are FASCIST, they go BALLISTIC. I always felt that not so deep down, they Left admires Stalin not for his Socialism, but for his barbarism. Deep down they WISH they could be Hitler, and put their own AMERICANS in gas ovens. They would love to take our 2nd Amendments rights away from us, not to make us safer, but to SLAUGHTER is. If you prod them, they will admit THAT, too. They fell that THEY should have guns... but not the rest of us.
I think a lot of us are mildly infected with the belief that the greatest sin is discrimination. On another post on this thread, I noted the almost violent reaction amongst many FREEPERS when the subject comes up of showing people pictures of aborted babies. IMHO, that reaction happens because pro-abortion or abortion-ambivalent FREEPERS (of whom there are many) know that the pictures force them to do one of two things: recognize evil or attack the messenger who forces them into having to confront the disparity between what they know to be true and what they want to believe.
You may believe that such is true, but he doesn't. The Jewish understanding of redemption is very different than typical Christian doctrine. Not a strong argument, because it is grounded in the legitimacy of Y'shua being the Messiah, which he would reject as idolatrous.

The propensity to a subjective sense of reality is inherent to liberal emoting, er... "thought." It is making G-d in their image, effectively to be little tin gods themselves. Such IS the essence of Satan's pitch, the source of identity of which you speak.
