I wanted to tell you personally about a conversation that I had with Senator McCain earlier today before his CPAC speech.
In this time of war and economic uncertainty, America must have strong, principled leadership. The first and foremost priority of the federal government is National Security, and, we must have a President who will do what is needed to protect America and the American people. It is imperative that we have a Commander in Chief who will not bow to pressure when the political waters become rough. As a fellow member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, I have witnessed John McCain’s principled leadership on critical national security issues.
I, like most of you, am deeply concerned with wasteful and excessive Washington spending, and I have also worked side by side with John McCain taking on special interests and fighting the tough battles on behalf of the American taxpayer. While it is true that we have had some principled disagreements on some issues, including certain areas of immigration reform, John McCain is a man of principle and conviction. He shares my deep commitment to reaching a comprehensive solution to immigration reform and I look forward to working with him on this issue when he is President.
With the recent decision by a number of the other candidates to step aside, now is the time for the Republican Party to come together and stand behind Senator McCain. For these reasons, I am honored to endorse him for President of the United States today and will do whatever I can to support his candidacy.

Saw him on Fox News today endorsing McCain. He’s just whistling past the graveyard.
My Senator, Tom Coburn endorsed him. Now I question his sanity.

kind of like Bush worked with Kennedy on the education bill? Outside of global warming, McCain is better than Bush on most issues if you believe what he is saying.

and the constitution is working. and sometimes it works and you might not like the outcome but that is the way it is here in america.! none of us are perfect each and everyone of us have our flaws. If you want perfection in a candidate you will have to wait till u reach the pearly gates and god is in charge !

Unfortunately a candidate like Reagan comes around once in a lifetime. Any Republican is far better than a Hillary or an Obama. Despite some of McCain's rhetoric and his work with bi-partisan efforts, he still has a lot of conservative credentials.
well bush was going to sign the amnesty bill if it passed and he signed cfr and u all got ticked but he was re elected. Listen he is our best shot at taking back the white house. He is a good man. You will not be swallowed up by greenies.

What we should do is get Michael Steele to run or right him in and the conservatives would come out in droves and Obama and Hitlery as well as McCain would be just a bad memory.

That doesn’t make McCain look better to me though. It simply makes Bush look worse.
