Michael Medved has hurled the ultimate insult at Rush Limbaugh -- that he's acting like a liberal. According to Medved, Rush is thinking with his emotions, not his mind, when it comes to his criticism of of John McCain.
McCain supporter Medved appeared on Tucker Carlson's MSNBC show this evening.

“So would we rather sit home and let a lib become President or would we rather vote for a candidate that has some Conservative values in him?”
I’m no fan of McCain, but if the Democrats take the presidency and congress, in eight years the country will be unrecognizable. I’d vote for Ron Paul rather than stay home next election day.

Medved has finally jumped the shark...we hardly knew ye, Mike.
Disagree. He did THAT, big time, when he came out for amnesty.

Medved should stick to being a movie and cultural critic. Have paid no attention to him since he departed from the fields he knows something about.

Trying to advance his own prestige by attempting condescension toward Rush and Rush’s political analysis didn’t help Mike Huckabee and it will not help Mike Medved.

Medved’s ratings must be slipping.

I cannot stand Medved anymore. His hypocricy in support of McCain is bordering on psychotic.

Jeesh, who’s watching? Two guys with weekly ratings (combined) that Rush gets on a Tuesday.

Michael Medved IS A LIBERAL.
He is a lifelong Democrat who decided to get in on the cash cow that is Conservative Radio.
Medved better than his lucky stars Limbaugh cares so very little about what Medved thinks that he will probably not even respond.

Mike’s ratings have sunk to a new low.
The only way a lot of these people can boost their sagging ratings is to bash Limbaugh
Limbaugh’s angry fans call to respond, ratings go up momentarily.
Then their ratings die again and they float back further down the swirling bowl.

“Rush is just one of the many prominent people who lacked the courage to endorse a conservative candidate when he had a chance.”
I agree with you: I can understand previous water-carrying for Republicans and previous non-endorsements, but by Rush’s own rhetoric about what is at stake, I think he should’ve endorsed a conservative in this primary. JMHO

Well said.
No genuine conservative can support the man who gave us the First Amendment trampling McCain-Feingold or attempted to “give us” the amnesty plan known as Kennedy-McCain.
I think we’re watching the final death throes of the Republican party. The factions are going to split.

I thought Savage was the only one that required medicines. Looks like Medved has not been taking his lately. His comment about Rush is just outrageous.
To: american_ranger
WELL SAID! I’ll second that advice.

Excellent interview, Medved is exactly right on this. All the while that Rush has been calling McCain a liberal he has been behaving just like his counterparts on the left. And all the while that Rush has been appealing to the "Reagan Legacy" he has been acting most un-Reaganlike in his negativite, doom and gloom, "it's the end of the Republican party" garbage.
Thank God there are objective and courageous folks out there like Medved who aren't afarid to call it as it is, even if it means the self-appointed RINO hunters will come after him in lemming-like droves. Rush used to be that kind of person...now he's just another emotional spin doctor...a James Carville of the right.

If McCain is electable, and that is a HUGE "if", then he will have to be elected without my vote. The same goes for the Huckster. I wonder how many others feel the same way about them and how many Republican candidates running for all the various government positions will be hurt from disgusted voters simply staying home instead of voting. It's no wonder McCain's the MSM's chosen one.
McCain should do the country a big favor and retire back home to the beautiful state of Arizona and be with his family. What a mess.
