FREE REPUBLIC

You Pick 'Em

Well, Fred's out. Duncan's out. So I'm out.

And we're doomed.

But what better way to pass the time during our slide into national destruction than with a little game?

Let's see who guesses the most state primary winners on Super Tuesday.

I'll go first. I'm going out on a limb to do this before Florida.

Alabama - Huckabee
Alaska - McCain
Arizona - McCain
Arkansas - McCain
California - Romney
Colorado - Romney
Connecticut - McCain
Delware - McCain
Georgia - Huckabee
Illinois - Romney
Massachusetts - McCain
Minnesota - McCain
Missouri - Romney
Montana - Romney
New Jersey - Giuliani
New York - Giuliani
North Dakota - Romney
Oklahoma - Romney
Tennessee - McCain
Utah - Romney
West Virginia - Huckabee

You will get no love for simply observing reality. Some folks play the emotional game of calling you a quitter, but I have to agree with you. HRC will be our next president, with a Dem-controlled house and senate having more seats than we have now.

Which puts us in good position for next time, if we can get our act together.

P.S. So much for all that “Losing the House and Senate is a GOOD THING because it sets us up for ‘08!” crap.

All I will say is that Huckabee will not win any states and McCain will win AZ.

I think whether or not Huckabee can pull off a few southern states depends a lot of whether or not McCain wins Florida. If McCain doesn't win, he'll be without the feel of inevitability, and voters in those states will choose their first choice.

I'll vote in the general for the GOP nominee. I think us FredHeads should direct our energy and attention to Congress. Anyone who was going to volunteer for Fred, take a look around at the nearest seat that the GOP has a shot of taking/keeping.

But yeah, since Fred's gone, I've got no interest in the four-headed beast or the court jester.

NYT, and the MSM are doing their best to see that McCain wins the nomination.

I don’t know how he could win in AZ. I have never met one person who supports him. Never. Not one.

I read that folks in AZ don’t like McCain, but then I have to wonder why he keeps his seat. Are the Dems that weak there?

It’s not the 33 percent we have that elect. It takes most of the other 33 percent. In the last election we lost it was 10 percent one way or the other. Too many people didn’t vote. I always vote.

Arkansas - McCain

For what it's worth, most recent poll in Arkansas showed Huckabee with 59% and McCain at 9%. (Link)

No. I’m working on his staff for free. Because I believe deeply that he’s the only one who actually understands where America is, much less where it must go if it is to survive in liberty.

Alan towers over this pathetic field of complete RINOs. Not one of them is even close.

Have you read the pdf?

I would never vote for Mitt Romney, for the exact same reasons I would never vote for Hillary Clinton.

Conservatives don’t support liberals.
