FLASH: RASMUSSEN Florida poll to be released: Romney 25, McCain 20, Giuliani 19... Developing...
I sure hope those numbers are accurate.
True, societygirl—
But perhaps some see McCain in a positive light as being able to “reach across the aisle”...Unfortunately, that is why we’re in the fix we’re in. Bush caved to Dems on the costly Prescription Drug Bill and refused for most of his tenure to veto ANYthing! McCain is even closer with Dems. He simply can’t be trusted, but his hatred for us, for real conservatives and especially foir the anti-Invasion conservatives is telling...
McCain would reach across the aisle... and stab Republicans in the process. He cannot stand his own party.

You mean Steeles not a nice person? Or were you referring to Fred?.......................................
I meant Steele is not a nice person!!! I LOVE FRED, obviously I left the wrong impression

I WAS REFERRING TO STEELE
I've been watching her and she is odd, isn't she?! What is wrong with her?
Why? What’s a picture of his wife got to do with anything?
Kerry has the Mrs. money and she would not take his name until an 11th hour political necessity.
Somehow I don’t see Romney in that mold. (liar and and sleazy in his own ways)
Either way would be good. What would terminate my support for Fred would be if he rolled over to McCain. Then, I would know for sure his conservative credentials were a fraud.
Gov Perdue from GA
Good point
But somewhere along the line, he got seduced by favorable press, the power of Washington and the limelight of poking conservatives in the eye to get praised by liberals.
With Romney, there is the possibility that a persistently hostile press will actually encourage him to do the right thing. With McCain, it is exactly the opposite-- a fawning press will encourage him to do the wrong thing-- McCain-Feingold being the best example.
What ISN’T wrong with her, should be the question. Could you imagine getting into a fight with firemen at Ground Zero, no less, during the anniversary? Because of her Rudy’s kids don’t talk to him.
She also got into a brawl with Rudy’s son AT THE WEDDINGa.
I wholeheartedly agree. Santorum would be a great choice - and yes, he would carry Pennsylvania as well as Virginia. Unlike Bob Casey, Hillary Clinton is not a favorite son.
He’s done a decent job here, speaks well, could solidify the southern base....just a thought.
Apologies. I made the assumption based upon your tagline.
Someone here earlier mentioned some possible running mate for Romney. I suggest the hottest gal in elected office, Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN). Here’s what Wikipedia says about her:
“Congressman Blackburn initially backed former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign, joining his campaign as a senior advisor.[1] On May 25, 2007, Blackburn resigned her position in the Romney campaign and endorsed former Senator Fred Thompson for President.[2]”
She’s strikingly beautiful and VERY well-spoken. Can any of you see Mr. Handsome running a fellow conservative knockout (and she’s REALLY a conservative) who would be the first female VP in U.S. history? WOW!!! And TN is a Southern state...which would help Romney. Yet, Blackburn is never mentioned as a VP mate...
