I am a Mitt guy-with that being said I have no problems with Thompson at all.
Prior to this last primary my pecking order went something like this: Mitt, Fred (which are interchangeable in the case of necessity), and if I was forced McCain.
There would be no hope for Huckabee. I will not vote for him period.
McCain though just dropped off my list and I will explain why.
McCain is part of the problem in Washington, not the solution. It has been the likes of him and those congressmen like him who are too big of a ____________ to fight for what is good for America.
McCain has been briefed one too many times on 'the global economy'. His 'truth' isnt truth at all.
Now full disclosure... I have been involved in international business for about over a decade. I was in China before China was hot.
I am fluent in Chinese.
I own a company and one that covers multiple countries particularly in Asia. I have been in one dozen countries on business trips over the last 5 months.
I would not want a give up artist like McCain spouting his lies and the give up mentality regarding economic issues. Policy wonks who spout things like that need be chased out of Washington.
Yes, the global economy is here, but that dumb **** doesn't have the foggiest how to compete in it.
Everyone else is supposed to get an education except a damn Senator.
We really need to shake the holy **** out of Washington DC and run those punks out of town.
Does it mean we throw up a moat around America? No, but it means we have to be a pitbull and fight.
That numbnuts believes everyone should be retrained and go to school and learn and relearn...but for a job that doesn't exist. And won't exist. There is no guarantee that those new economy jobs will come to the USA.
I can't stand GW Bush for this same idiot mentality.
Education is great but education alone means nothing. You will wind up with a group of Phd's that can't find work.
There are fundamental problems with the way the US economy is being run. There is surely a problem with the way we are approaching globalization.
That give-upism is why McCain sucks. You have too many moronic people in Washington teaching that crap and too many people believing it. It is standard fare in some circles in Washington DC and that is utter garbage.
You really should rename your thread.
I agree! I have also decided that should McCain be the party choice I will stay home and not vote.
I know I will catch a lot of gruff but his is not someone I would vote for.
Well, what do you think about McCain?
Fred was on Fox and Friends this morning and also on CNN Morning America. Later on today he will be on the following shows:
WHAT: Fred Thompson Pre-taped Radio Interview on the Sean Hannity Radio Show
WHEN: Sean Hannity Radio Show airs from 3-6 pm ET
NOTE: Check your local listings or listen to a live audio stream
WHAT: Fred Thompson Pre-taped Television Interview on CNNs Situation Room
WHEN: Situation Room Airs from 4-7 pm ET
WHERE: CNN
GO FRED!
The title was the last thing on my mind to be honest.
I agree that your title lacks civility. Could have made a better choice.
I also agree that McCain is part of the problem. McCain flopped on immigration for his political gain, not because it’s what’s good for America. McCain gave us CFR. McCain carries himself like Bob Dole did:
“Vote for me because it’s my turn damn it!”
Vote for me because its my turn damn it!
Exactly.
Oops. I punched your neme when I intended his.
Those philosphies they use to justify this thinking are flat out wrong. They tell only part of the story, but not the whole story.
I have to admit this is my hot button issue long before the election and will be so long after it.
From where I sit it barely looks as though there are any competing views on the matter. Anyone who proposes one is called a 'protectionist' even though the ideas don't call for a new tarriff one on any products.
Sheer stupidity.
McCain said again, NO to ANWAR drilling.
He is a boob, praying to the cult of Gaia.
I agree. I think McInsane's jump-the-shark moment came in Michigan when he told the auto workers that "these jobs aren't coming back". I thought Mitt's response to that faux pas was brilliant, and I wish him well. My wish for SC would be: Thompson, Mitt, then the Huckster a distant third, with McInsane in Ron Paul territory.
I have run up against people who think the way they are thinking for a very very long time. I cannot stand the arrogant crap they force onto everyone.
The voters need to really stand up and run them out of town and not just out of the Presidential race, but also to run those morons out of their number crunching jobs.
You seem to have spent a few words beating your own drum while demeaning a real hero. I disagree with a lot of Mc Cains political decisions and he isn’t my first choice in the Primary. You sir however have no right to use your expletives to describe him. If you disagree with him, that is your right, but to demean a man who spent 5 years in a POW box the way you have tells us a lot about you. I wont repeat your expletives, but you are lower than excrement.
Willard is a complete fraud like Hackabee!
Both use religion to cover their left wing positions!
Always look at what these people say and do before they
started their POTUS run.
I do not understand any person on a conservative site
thinking either are conservative!
>I think McInsane’s jump-the-shark moment came in Michigan when he told the auto workers that “these jobs aren’t coming back”.
He really fell in it when he said that.
There are only three people that I dispise more than McCain: the Clintons, and Ted Kennedy. McCain’s only saving graces are that he once had balls, and he is a military hero. Somehow, he has been “Clintonized” and now has no scruples, balls, or morals at all. I’ll not vote for him...period.
