You seem to have spent a few words beating your own drum while demeaning a real hero. I disagree with a lot of Mc Cains political decisions and he isn’t my first choice in the Primary. You sir however have no right to use your expletives to describe him. If you disagree with him, that is your right, but to demean a man who spent 5 years in a POW box the way you have tells us a lot about you. I wont repeat your expletives, but you are lower than excrement.
I agree it's a poor title to the thread. I am very thankful for his service to our country (as I am of yours, sir!), and acknowledging the hell he went through in Viet Nam is something we must honor and never forget. That being said, his politics and the way he has evolved as a national leader leave a great deal to be desired.
Being good at some point in the military and having done what he had to do does not give him instant credibility on issues like this.
There are untold millions of American military heroes who have never been so obsessed with themselves to use their service as means and methods to feather their own nest at taxpayers expense. My father laid on a mountain side in the ‘Forgotten War’ firing off artillery shells day and night and NEVER once did he think this nation owed him anything. He taught me there was no greater blessing than to have been given the privilege to be an American.
