Well I’m switching MY vote!
Hillary Clinton’s comment: “That Beits!”
He will have so much influence, I am very concerned about downtown Boise.
Endorsed Obama, did he??! Where does that idiot think he is, California??!
Y’know, I always figured that, if I ever left CA, I’d move to ID, and run for office. I could use California as a textbook example of failure after failure after failure of leftist “solutions” on EVERY SINGLE issue. Some jackass starts advocating “carpool lanes”; “Well, California thought it’d be smart to do that, and here’s what happened...” (show $$$ alongside additional congestion caused alongside meager utilization numbers).
On EVERY issue facing Idaho, California has been there, done that, voted Left, and — as a result — SUCKS! Everything good about California was either here before humans arrived, or became well-established before the Left made the fiscal, and regulatory landscape into a Martian wasteland.
Few of the benefits promised by the Left have materialized, but most all of the downsides that were pooh-poohed by them have.
We’re awash in red ink, with the Legislature generating more by the hour, and NOBODY on the Dem side of the aisle in Sacramento has the strength of character to admit that spending needs to be curtailed; ALL of them are blabbering about ways to increase revenue.
All that havoc, and you’ve got some yay-hoo of a Mayor supporting a candidate that would model the whole country after California?? Tell me this wunderkind won’t get re-elected...
Well, bite me, Bieter!
Already has.
Yeesh.
I know Boise’s University town, with all of the ailments that entails, but is it SO bad that a Conservative Mayor can’t get into City Hall??
You have to keep in mind the demographics of the Boise area. The Boise city limits (and in particular downtown and the north end of town) do infact have an influx of liberals, Californians, "hippies", Coloradans, and so forth. There's also a sizeable Basque population in Boise (Beiter is Basque) and that contributed to some of it, too.
With that in mind, the rest of the Treasure Valley and the outlying areas (like Meridian, Nampa, Caldwell, Kuna, Middleton, and so on) are still very conservative--which is a main reason why we have an R that's not INO in my district and a D mayor of Boise.
but is it SO bad that a Conservative Mayor cant get into City Hall??
Well, the last GOP mayor (I think this would have been either the second or third time I lived here) that I remember was Dirk Kempthorne, who took the Interior Secretary job w/ the current Bush Administration. It's right around then when the Boise area started booming and the "influx" came into town.
why is it that all the places you think you can get away to are infiltrated with moonbats?
The way I figure it our children and children’s children will probably move back to the current “blue” states when the moonbats screw up the “red” ones. It’s like a demographic musical chairs.
Here in Charger country, San Diego, we have a Republican Mayor. To bad for Boise.
Who’s the mayor there now? I can’t think of his name...(Pete Wilson and Roger Hedgecock were SD mayors once upon a time I think)
Jerry Sanders, former Chief of Police.
He is doing great considering he has a liberal city Atty bucking him.
At least Boise has Larry Craig.....
*At least Boise has Larry Craig.....*
You have a great sense of humor
